Most girls expect the world of their fathers.

They want him to be their hero,

Strong and brave,

To be like Superman!

The only thing I ever wished for

Was for him to actually be around.

For him to care about and love me

The way that Father's should.

To smile at me and tell me

That I'm just like my mother.

That I was beautiful,

No matter what anyone else said.

To help me off the ground,

And dust of my clothes.

That I would make it

Because I was

Strong.

I never wanted Superman,
