Hi guys! :D I hope you like this one. Sorry if details weren't much told. I admit, I'm not that good in story writing but I hope you understand the flow of it. This is a manga I'm currently working on. If you have questions about it, please feel free to ask me :))

Mori Hotaru was a simple high school girl who will be graduating a few months from now. She had a long brown hair with green round eyes.

One day came that she decided to buy something for her mother's birthday so she went to the market with her best friend, Onohara Mitsuki, who had short hair (sorry I haven't thought of the color of her hair and eyes yet).

They looked and looked from store to store. But she didn't seem to find the best gift to give her. Until they heard a salesman shouting, "Fans! Everyone! For only 150 yen!" It caught Hotaru's attention. So, she gave it a try and went to that store.

"WOW! This is so beautiful," Hotaru said in awe. "Do you think she'll like this?" she asked Mitsuki.

"Of course! She's your mother. She will accept whatever you give her," Mitsuki replied.

The salesman said, "Has something caught your eye?"

"Yes," Hotaru answered, "I would like this fan."

The fan had an elegant design and it didn't look like a very ordinary fan. It had something different among the stocks in the store.

The salesman thought, "Hmmm... what an odd-looking fan! I haven't seen this kind in our stock before." He decided to raise the price.

"350 yen," he said.

"WHAT?!" Hotaru exclaimed. "Hotaru calm down," Mitsuki said with a worried face.

Hotaru grabbed the collar of the salesman's shirt and exclaimed, "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE 150 YEN FANS, HUH?!"

"Alright! Alright," the salesman said, "300."

"Come on Hotaru. I'm sure there are a lot of other stores out there with lots of more beautiful fans. Let's just go look there, huh?" Mitsuki told Hotaru to calm her down.

Hotaru replied, "I think you're right. Let's go." They left the store.

The salesman didn't want to lose his customer so he was left with no choice but to lower the price again, "WAIT!"

Hotaru's and Mitsuki's attention was caught. They stopped walking for a while.

"Fine! You win. 250!" the salesman said.

"How about that Hotaru? 100 yen lower," Mitsuki said.

"Fine, but this will be the last time I'm going to but from you," she handed the 250 yen over to the salesman.

The salesman counted the money and said, "Nice doing business with you."

Hotaru started walking and Mitsuki said to the salesman, "Thank you sir."

Mitsuki ran to catch up with Hotaru because she was walking too fast. "Hotaru wait up!"

When she finally caught up with her, Hotaru said, "Sorry Mitsuki."

Mitsuki replied, "Nah... it's fine. So... are you going home now?"

"Yes. I'll be wrapping this one," Hotaru said while looking at the fan.

(Hotaru walking home)

She sighed. "I feel sorry about the salesman earlier." Then she said, "What am I talking about? I'll just go home and forget whatever has happened earlier." She put on a smile and started humming while walking.

"Mori-chan," someone called.

She stopped humming and walking then she saw it was Natsume Ryouhei, a college student who had curly adorable hair and gentle-looking eyes.

"N-Nat... Nasume-senpai?!" Hotaru was surprised.

"Hi! It's very nice to see you," Ryouhei said, "where are you headed to?"

"Ah... eh..." Hotaru was blushing and couldn't speak. She thought, "He is actually here... he is asking where I'm going. "Mori-chan? Are you alright?" Ryouhei said.

Hotaru was startled and she was in a "panic-mode" a little. "UH! Of course senpai! I'm alright! Very fine! Well... actually I'm headed home.

Ryouhei replied, "Me too! And it seemes that we are headed the same direction. If you want we can go together."

Hotaru was so speechless and didn't know what to do. "Really senpai?"

"Yeah. If you want," Ryouhei said

Hotaru replied while still blushing but excited, "Oh senpai! I really lo-"

"Ryouhei-kun!" somebody called.

Their head turned and Ryouhei saw it was his classmates.

"We've been looking for you. You promised we'd go to the cafe," one of his classmates said.

"Oh yeah right," he said with a smile. He turned to Hotaru and said, "Sorry Mori-chan. Maybe next time. I'll make it up to you."

Hotaru said, "No it's fine senpai. They're your friends. If I were you I would do the same." She smiled.

"Thank you Mori-chan... for being understanding," Ryouhei said then they left.

Hotaru sighed. She said to herself, "Awww... I was this close. Perhaps... it wasn't meant to be. He's right. There's always next time."

Finally she arrived home. Her mother greeted her and asked, "Where have you been?"

She replied, "Well... just bought some things..." she grinned.

"Oh well. It's good that you're back. Come on let's eat dinner," her mom said.

"Okay, I'll just change," she replied.

She went upstairs to her bedroom. Actually it's not really hers. She shares it with her 6-year old sister, Etsuyo.

"Hello onee-san! You arrived home late today," Etsuyo said.

"Uhh yeah... hey Etsuyo, don't tell mom, okay? I bought something for her because it's her birthday tomorrow," Hotaru whispered.

"WOW! May I see?" Etsuyo asked excitedly.

"Okay but don't show it to her," Hotaru said. She gave the fan to Etsuyo then she changed.

Etsuyo looked at the fan with awe. She tried to open it but it seemed to be stuck.

"Onee-san. Why did you buy a broken fan?" Etsuyo asked.

Hotaru was done changing and she wondered, "Huh? What are you talking about? Maybe you just didn't open it the right way. Come on, let's go eat dinner."

After dinner, they got ready to sleep. Hotaru has already wrapped the gift and she was already in bed. Etsuyo was already asleep. Hotaru was finding it hard to sleep but later she finally got her sleep.

"Give it to me Mori and I shall spare your life," a voice said. "What? What should I give?" Hotaru asked. "You have it! Give it to me!" the voice added. "NO! I'LL NEVER GIVE IT TO YOU!" she replied.

"Then we'll have to do this the hard way..." the voice continued. The voice laughed an evil laugh. Hotaru got so scared that she couldn't move her body. And she felt cold. "Mori Hotaru... what a stupid girl," the voice said. "Stop it! I'm not stupid!" Hotaru shouted. The voice laughed evilly again.

Hotaru woke with a start. "What... was that? I... don't understand," she said to herself.

"Onee-san!" Etsuyo greeted, "good morning!"

Hotaru was startled, "AHH!" She fell off her bed.

"Onee-san? Are you alright?" Etsuyo asked.

"Yeah... I'm alright," Hootaru replied. "You're late, you know?" Etsuyo said. Hotaru looked at the clock and she was surprised that she was in fact already late. "OH NO! I HAVE TO GO!" Hotaru exclaimed.
She hurriedly prepared for school.

"Good-bye onee-san! Be careful on your way to school!" Etsuyo said with a smile. Her mom said, "Be safe Hotaru."

Hotaru thought Be careful? Be safe?"Nah! They tell that to me everyday! It was just a nightmare Hotaru. Just a nightmare."

After school while on her way home, she again met Ryouhei. "Mori-chan," Ryouhei said. "Ah! Natsume-senpai! Nice to see you again," she replied and blushed again. "Shall we go for a walk?" Ryouhei asked. "Uh?! Ah! Of course senpai! No problem!" she replied.

So they were walking, just the two of them. They talked about random stuff like how's life, how's school, how's the family... etc.

Suddenly, their subject changed. It was now about the fan that she bought. Ryouhei wanted to take a look. Hotaru was puzzled. "Why would he want to look at the fan? And how did he know I bought a fan?" she thought, "perhaps he saw me at the market." She said to him, "Sorry senpai, I would really want you to have a look at it but it's already wrapped." "Can I just have it then?" Ryouhei asked. Hotaru was beginning to become more puzzled. "Why?" she asked. "It's broken anyway. So let me have it," Ryouhei said. "What?! How did he know all these things?" Hotaru thought. "Come on Hotaru, give it to me. Nothing bad will happen," Ryouhei said. Hotaru was a little hesitant but she took up the courage to tell him, "No." Ryouhei was surprised. "No senpai. I bought it for my mother and no one must have it but her," she said. Ryouhei smirked. "Mori Hotaru... she's right," Ryouhei said. Hotaru was starting to become scared. "You are stupid," Ryouhei said but it sounded like two voices were talking. He took out a long sword. Hotaru was scared, "SENPAI! What's wrong with you?!" He attacked Hotaru but she managed to dodge. She ran as fast as she could.

"Senpai. What's happened to you?" she thought with sadness while running away. Ryouhei was catching up with her. He jumped high and slashed his sword. It made her stumble and it cut the straps of her backpack. She quickly got the fan from her bag and continued running. "You won't get away with this Mori Hotaru," the two voices said.

She ran and ran until she didn't know where to go she reached the forbidden forest. It was late before she even realized she was there. But she didn't mind and she continued running. She stopped because it was already a cliff. She didn't know what to do she tried to look for another way but it was already too late. Ryouhei was already there. "So... where were we?" Ryouhei had an evil grin. "Senpai please! Don't do this!" Hotaru pleaded. She stepped back a little and she almost fell so she stopped. "You have nowhere else to go. No one will help you. Now surrender the fan," Ryouhei said. "What's with you?! There are so many other fans in the market!" Hotaru shouted. Ryouhei laughed evilly. "You still don't know, do you?" Ryouhei said. "What?" Hotaru asked. "Oh well... it's useless knowing something when you're already going to die," Ryouhei said. Hotaru was shocked. Is this really how I'm going to end? No... not senpai... why?

Ryouhei slashed his sword, "DIE MORI!" Hotaru shouted and she was out balanced. She fell off the cliff. What is happening? Is this a dream again? Oh please wake me up. If this really is a dream... why does it feel so real? Is this my end?

While falling, she closed her eyes as if accepting that it was already her end. Suddenly, somebody grabbed her. What? Who is this? I'm confused. What happening? She tried to look at that face of her rescuer. But her eyes were blurry. Then she lost consciousness.

To be continued :D
