Chapter 3 - The Mysterious Songstress

XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXx

Before Eva's fashion show

Xavier's P.O.V.

"Xavier! You have a fashion show in three days! You're going to be wearing clothes from the legendary fashion designer Eva!" Xavier's manager screamed in excitement, "She's totally amazing! She's only 24 yet she has amazing fashion sense! You need to do a good job Xavier! She's really influential in the business world AND I will be able to be good friends with her!" she squealed in excitement.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," I casually brushed off my manager, Ana.

"Come on Xavier! Don't try to act so cool! I mean, I know you have a liking to her! She's like the only girl you haven't touched or made a move on despite you being a playboy AND her being so attractive and wealthy," Ana nudged me with a sly smirk on her face.

"You're also one, remember that Ana," I warned her.

"Yep, but that's only because you know I will kick your ass if you lay a hand on me!" she smiled triumphantly.

"You're too violent to be considered a woman..." I muttered.

But I can't deny it... She's experienced in Muay Thai, boxing, karate, kung-fu, kendo and has had shooting experience... I thought as shivers passed down my spine by the thought of her kicking my ass...

"What was that, Xavier?"

"Nothing..." I replied as I looked outside the window.

We were in a car, on the way to meet with my band mates to talk about our next hit song. We were heading towards our dorm after all of our schedules had finished which was at about 3PM.

"Anyway, I hear that you are going to model with a girl. Though we don't know who... It seems like she may not be well-known or will have her début with you in the fashion show... Either way, just don't do anything out of the ordinary!" Ana ordered.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah..."

"You're not even listening to me are you..." Ana sighed.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah,"

Ana shook her head from side to side most probably thinking, 'What am I going to do with this 20-year-old boy,'.

"We're here now," said the driver.

"OK, thanks," Ana thanked the driver and then faced me who was still in the car when she got out, "Come on Xavier! We need to get going!" Ana dragged me out of the car.

"OK, just quit you're nagging..." I got out of the car and scratched the back of my head.

Ana just sighed.

"You're never going to change are you?" she asked sarcastically.

"Nope. Not that I plan to that is,"

"So... Even when you're old and wrinkly prune, you still going to keep up with that attitude whilst picking up young girls?"

I imagined that and shivers went down my spine... Now THAT would be a horrible site...

"OK, a lady like you shouldn't be even thinking about that," I said weakly, still trying to recover from that awful thought.

"Last time I heard, I wasn't a lady but just a violent old woman," she raised her eye brow.

I raised my hands in a mocking gesture, "I'm sorry then," I smirked, "But seriously, let's not think about that, I would rather keep my lunch in my stomach and not it on the floor," I chuckled weakly.

"Fine... Anyway, have you guys decided on a girl for the music video yet?" Ana asked, trying to change the topic as they walked towards the door.

"Hmm... Nope, not really." I answered.

"Hmmmm...? Really? Even though you have like a flock of girls kneeling down at your feet?" she teased.

"Nope, no girls come to mind," I opened the door to let Ana in who nodded in thanks.

I suddenly remembered the mysterious girl who was singing on the hill the other day. ... Hmm... Why did I remember her...? I was in deep thought for a moment... Wait... now that I remember... she had an amazing voice... Her voice... it naturally attracts you to her...

"You sure?"

"... well... I th-... no, actually, never mind,"

"What?" Ana asked irritatingly, "Tell me!"

"It's nothing,"

"Xavier. You. Better. Tell. Me. Or. You. Get. A. Kick. To. Where. The. Sun. Doesn't. Shine." she demanded.

I chuckled nervously and put my hands up in surrender.

"OK, OK, OK, I'll tell you...!" I sighed, "Well, I saw this girl a week or so ago... And she had an amazing voice to put it simply,"

"Then why don't we call her!?" she started to get impatient.

"Because... I only heard her sing and only saw her back."

"WHAT?" she asked annoyingly, "So we don't even know who this bloody girl is?!"

I laughed awkwardly and scratched the back of my head, "Yep,"

Ana screamed in irritation.

"That's no help at all! For all we know, she could be some hobo on the street!" Ana was so close to pulling her hair out in irritation.

"Who's a hobo?" a voice asked.

Me and Ana turned around to find a tall dark blonde standing in the dorm with the entrance door open.

"Not anybody we know of!" Ana replied in an irritated tone and glared.

The blonde laughed nervously as well and was sharp enough to notice that she was in a foul mood. We began walking towards him.

"So... did you find anyone yet, Daniel?" I asked the blonde who was my fellow band mate in Joker.

"Nope, most of the girls I know would just faint when they saw us all together which I don't think would be particularly useful," he chuckled nervously.

"Same,"

"Apart from that one girl," Ana cut in the conversation once we were taking off our shoes.

"Hmmm...? Which girl?" Daniel asked curiously.

We started to walk into the living room to carry on our discussion.

"Just a candidate for the role in our song," I said nonchalantly.

"Yeah, a candidate who Xavier know nothing of apart from her appearance from her back and how she sings!" Ana said angrily.

I laughed nervously.

"I can't really do anything about it."

"Wait, explain who is this mysterious girl of yours," Daniel cut in.

I sighed.

"Well... I was on a hill and just taking a nap in a peaceful scenery. I woke up to the sound of a girl singing... hmm... which song was it... Oh, right! It was A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. Anyway, I peered around the tree I was leaning on and only saw the back figure of this girl and when she stopped singing, she suddenly got up and walked off..." I explained.

"But, does she have a voice that works with our song? " Daniel asked and Ana nodded as she was about to ask the same question, "I mean, A Thousand Years isn't exactly like our style of songs..."

"Yeah, she did have a good voice but from what I heard, it just looked like she was doing it for fun and her voice didn't particularly suit that type of song... Her voice is more passionate and powerful but soft songs would sound nice from her just maybe not as good as powerful songs," I explained.

Ana and Daniel nodded in acknowledgment.

"OK but the problem is that we need to find her," Ana said, "From Xavier's description, she could be a famous person already,"

"I don't think she is famous because I would recognize her voice straight away..."

"True that..." Daniel agreed.

"Hmm... What did she look like?" Ana asked.

I thought for a second.

"She had long, straight, hazelnut brown hair and she pretty much looked like she had a model's body... And she was slightly tanned," I recalled from my memories of her.

"That doesn't really narrow it down," Ana said.

We all sighed together.

"So... what should we do then?" Daniel asked, "I mean Sam and Aaron would highly unlikely tell us any candidates seeing as they are oblivious to girls and this girl seems like a good enough candidate but we don't even know who she is,"

"You're right..." Ana sighed, "But there aren't many girls that will do this job without fainting or having some sort of accident from your fans and or from just seeing you,"

"Why..." I started to say as Ana and Daniel turned around to look at me, "Why don't we just wait?" I asked.

"Huh?" Ana raised an eye brow looking at me as if I was insane.

"I said, why don't we wait?"

"Yeah, we heard that," Daniel said, "But why wait?"

"Well... I kind of have a feeling that if she was the girl meant to be for this song then she will appear sooner or later won't she? If it wasn't meant to be then it wasn't meant to be,"

"I guess so..." Daniel agreed.

"But we don't have much time!" Ana shouted.

"Then let's wait a week and if we don't find her then we can just give up, OK?"

"... Fine." Ana admitted defeat.

"I'll tell Aaron and Sam about this," Daniel said as he dialed their numbers.

Three days later at Eva's fashion show

Joker and Ana sighed.

"Still no hope of that girl..." Ana sighed again.

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"We only have a couple more days before we have to decide on another girl," Ana leaned back on the sofa and pinched her nose bridge.

"Anyway, I would like to ask, about the fashion show, who am I modelling with?" I asked.

Ana sighed, "We don't know... From all I've heard, Eva personally had her to model and nobody has seen her apart from her stylists which have been in her dressing room for ages..."

"So... she's not one of our fans or anything?" I asked curiously.

"Dunno but from the looks of it, she may just not be so crazy about us so that will be good as she won't faint at the sight of us," Daniel chuckled.

"True that!" a blonde replied with a lollipop in his mouth.

"That's good, I'll be able to write my story in peace for once then," a brunette replied as he was typing away at his computer.

"Geez, you guys will never change will you, Aaron, Sam?" I shook my head from side to side in a mocking gesture.

"Xavier! It's almost time!" a man shouted.

I nodded my head and waved good-bye to my band mates and Ana. I walked towards the entrance to the catwalk and looked around.

"Is Charlotte done yet?!" a man shouted.

Charlotte...? Who...? I thought.

"No! It seems like Eva is still talking to her! I'll call her now though so she can go down the cat walk with Xavier!" another voice answered.

Charlotte... huh? I smirked. So that's the name of other model... Suddenly, I saw a familiar figure being pushed towards me. I couldn't see her properly seeing as she was facing the floor and I had to be at least 10cm taller than her.

"Yo, you're Charlotte aren't you?" I greeted her smoothly.

She turned around and looked up to meet my deep blue eyes... She had amazingly bright turquoise eyes. They twinkled even more along with the makeup enhancing her eyes and her dress enhancing her natural figure... She... Had a different feature that makes you naturally drawn to her... She just looked absolutely stunning.

Then she suddenly blushed and turned away, breaking our eye contact.

"Y-Yes, I'm Charlotte," she stuttered.

I paused for a moment to gratefully enjoy the view in front of me, "You're quite the sexy girl, Charlotte," I said smoothly.

Though she's really quite cute... Her personality doesn't seem to match her looks very well. I chuckled to myself.

"Eh...?" she turned around and looked at me with those wide innocent eyes.

"I said you're quite the sexy girl, Charlotte," I chuckled.

Her eyes widened and she started to blush furiously.

"Th-Thanks Xavier..." she stuttered.

I smirked.

"Charlotte, Xavier, you're going on soon! Xavier, come over to this entrance here, quickly!" a man shouted.

I nodded and started to walk towards the other entrance which was only a few meters away. I took a deep breath to compose myself for the catwalk.

"OK! You're going to go on... NOW!" the man told us.

We nodded at each other and walked onto the T-shaped catwalk. We met up at the middle of the top of the T-shaped catwalk and I offered her my arm. She surprisingly smiled very seductively and took my arm. She was like a whole different person on the catwalk... She was definitely not that blushing girl earlier.

I paid no attention to the shutter of cameras as I stared at her through the corner of my eye. This girl... she's not your ordinary model...

Once we were done, we were immediately called back on for the finale which every model with their outfits came back on. Eva then came on and bowed as the guests applauded. I heard Charlotte giggle, which I could easily mistake for a wind chime if I weren't looking at her through the corner of my eye, as I saw Eva giving her a thumbs up.

XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXx

"So...?" Ana prompted me to give them a yes or no.

"So?" I asked.

"So... Was she, Charlotte, that girl that you saw before?!" Ana asked impatiently.

Everyone was staring at me expectantly for me to answer. I sighed and they sighed thinking that Charlotte wasn't that girl.

"Charlotte was the girl," I smirked as I fooled them/

They all suddenly turned their heads at me looking in my eyes to see if there was any doubt. There wasn't.

"Seriously?!" Daniel asked in disbelief.

I nodded. They all sighed in relief.

"So she was that girl! That's good!" Ana sighed in relief again as she leaned back in her chair.

"I like Charlotte! She seems really nice!" Sam said cheerfully whilst eating a lollipop.

I raised an eyebrow at him.

"You've met her?" I asked Sam.

"I met her when I first debuted my major fashion show a few years ago. She came in with Eva and greeted me before saying she had to suddenly go for a meeting," he chirped.

"What does she do for a living then...?" I asked curiously.

Everyone sighed.

"Only Xavier would ask that..." Aaron shook his head.

"What?!" I asked defensively.

"Xavier," Daniel patted my shoulder, "Charlotte is famous to put it simply. She is even more famous than Eva, me, Aaron, Sam and even you. She has even more influence than us. The reason being that she is a famous jewellery designer and spokes-model for many different companies and brands. Although she works for the Stardust company-"

"Wait, THE Stardust Company?" I asked.

"Yes, THE Stardust company. Anyway, she is basically famous in the business world for not only her physical appearance but for her artistic skills and her talking skills as well. An added bonus would be her personality seeing as many people are naturally drawn to her," Daniel sighed, "But then again, you have never paid attention to media so you wouldn't know... But you DID say she was an amazing singer so why haven't the media discovered it? Or why hasn't she even debuted as an idol seeing her art skills?" Daniel questioned as we all nodded in agreement.

Ana sighed, "Oh well, all we now know is that we need her for the song and the advantage of it is that you guys will also be moved up the music world as well seeing as Charlotte is really influential!" Ana tried to keep positive and change the subject.

"I guess so... Anyway, I'm going to change now, I'll meet you back at the dorm," I waved goodbye to them after I walked towards the entrance.

XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXx

I was about to go get changed until I noticed a brunette still in her sexy outfit talking to Eva. I walked up to her as Eva walked away.

"You really don't act like what you look like," I said.

She turned around to see me standing beside her.

"Eh? What do you mean?"

"Well, you have an amazingly sexy body yet your personality doesn't really seem to match it," I chuckled.

"Should I take that as a compliment or an insult?"

"Whichever way you want it to be,"

"OK... Sorry but is it alright if you leave?" I pointed to the exit, "I kind of need to get changed and I can't really do it if you're here..." she blushed.

"Oh, yeah, alright, sorry for intruding on my lady," I chuckled and went off.

I smirked. Heh... Don't worry Xavier... I'm sure she will be interesting... I thought.

XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXx

Once I got changed, I walked past Charlotte's changing room again to see her changed in some casual clothes. Her fashion sense is pretty good as well... It compliments her figure very well... I was about to walk in again before I saw her looking ruefully at her phone. I stopped in my tracks. It felt like a bad idea to walk in like that. What is she looking at for her to be looking... like that...? I wondered.

I shrugged my shoulders and casually brushed off that thought. Meh, oh well. I'm sure it's nothing.

XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXx

A/N: Hehehehe, it's slightly longer than usual but I was inspired a bit more than usual so yeah ;) I hope this answers your question of who was that mysterious guy smiling to himself creepily behind the big oak tree in the introduction! xP
