The Shepherd's Song
The fields are so quiet and peaceful
Not a trouble in sight
It's not as cold as it once was
There seems to a bit a light
How can I feel so happy?
In such a dark place
Why is my heart smiling?
When it should ache
Could it be?
Jesus, have you come?
Did you come down from haven as God's only son?
Jesus, my king, you shall have your crown
Because you chose to die for me
For me, for me, my king
There's a light
It's so bright
As I fall to my knees
An angel speaks to me
"Do not be afraid"
He told me
"For I bring you news of your king"
My heart begins to jump for joy
Could it be? Could it be?
Jesus, have you come?
Did you come down from haven as God's son?
Jesus, my king, you shall your crown
Because you chose to die for me
For me, for me, my king
As I stand by the wise men,
Watching you sleep
Angels seem to sing
You mother holds you so tenderly
And as tears roll down my face
My heart becomes complete, complete!
Jesus, you have come!
You came down from haven as God's only son!
Jesus, my one and only king, you have your crown now!
It's full with jewels with pain
As I proclaim your name!
Jesus! Oh Jesus!
You came down!
Oh yes you came down from haven
As God's only son
Jesus, my king, you have your crown because
You would for die me
Oh yes! My king!
You would die for me!
My king!
Jesus! My king!
Jesus, you are my king!
