Silence creeps,

Shifting through the walls.

No bird dare peep,

It covers all.

Fortunes have shifted,

Innocence bought,

Darkness has lifted

And answers are sought.

The old do keep

His creed that calls,

While the young weep

As their friends fall.

But even then we heard

God's grace, an unspoken word.
