Chasing…..

Running toward where his time ended

And where life without him began

Racing toward the past trying to make it there in time for the twilight

And the eclipsing of our worlds

For just a moments time

Trying to keep a steady pace

But only timing myself against an impossibility

Reality catches up to me

And slows my hope like gravity keeps me grounded

Stepping on pieces of my broken heart

And like shards of glass

It cuts into my soul

At a standstill between memories and my future

I open a glass jar to catch lighting buds of our moments to light my way

Back to the path I must take…..
