The shadows creep
Behind the one to cast it
The Night's evil warmth
Can go through one's body
To consume
Or to conserve
The night sky twinkles
Or can be nothing but muggy blackness
Waiting for the Morning's son to rise
Until the blinding light
You are still in
Absolute and Total
Darkness
The world may be
Terrifying
Horrific
Petrifying
But yesterday will bring a tomorrow
And tomorrow is a brand new day
So when light shines through
To a new day
Remember that once
You were in
Absolute and Total
Darkness
