Snowy Weather
A glistening snowflake
Caught a cool breeze
As light as a feather.
A puff of cool fog,
is all I could muster
in the frosty midnight weather.
The sun hung up above
As though strung by a wire,
Though blocked by white clouds.
They looked worn by many years worth of dust,
And yet hovered in the pale sky
As if taking flight:
Mocking the robins
Surrounding the trees.
But the following breath of snow-
It took away the chirps and whispers-
And hid them in the breeze.
And as I watched,
A red drop fell to the snow,
As bright as though burst from a rosebud.
