Struggles with a Sonnet

I cannot write a sonnet no I can't

I keep messing up left and right always

I'm used to going off on a long rant

Now I'm stuck trying to shorten my phrase

Stuck with restrictions holding back my thought

Words being held back my thought

Words being held back by constraints of lines

This sonnet oh how you and I have fought

We've wrestled long enough down in these vines

One sonnet down one more poem to write

No inspiration in my head to use

Another sonnet will put up a fight

But it won't help my grade if I refuse

I'm rambl'ng on and on inside my head

What shall I write that has yet to be said
