"Stop sidestepping me."I yelled to my friends Shyam and Raj.
"Oops sorry."Raj said again sidestepping me.
My name is Nikhil. I have no last name because I have no parents. I am an orphan. My neighbors looked after me till I turned 9 then they left me. From then on I only had my friends.
Shyam and Raj became my friend when I was in lower class. I was a lonely child back then too. I was sitting in a corner of our schools ground under the shades of a nearby tree, when these two came forward and asked me 'wanna be our friends.' Not to mention tears ran down my tiny eyes.
I said yes. And thus started an eternal friendship between us.
Both of them can be real jerks sometimes. But they always are there to protect me when someone teases me about my problems.
There was this guy in 7th standard who called me a parentless bitch. The next thing I know our principal was handing us over a week's suspension for breaking the before mentioned kids nose and balls.
Shyam has black eyes that are always spontaneous, along with black hair. He is not muscular or anything but he is physically fit. He is probably 5"5 or something.
Raj has a similar description but he is weird in a cool way. His right eye is blue whereas his left eye is black. He says it represents his ability to see both black and blue.
Till this we I and Shyam haven't figured out what he meant.
As for my description I am just your average guy. Standing at 5"7, black hair, golden eyes (how I got them I don't know). Some girls say that I look adorable. Not to be humble or anything but I have never seen it.
We were walking back from our school to home.
"Hey why don't we crash in Nikhil's home today?" Raj asked to Shyam.
"Yes it would be great." Shyam replied.
The thing is that every week 5 days they crash in my home, 'Crash' as in both literal and physical sense.
"Hey if I did this would it be accidental?" Raj asked sidestepping me.
"No it won't be but this would be."Shyam said throwing a stone at a nearby muddy puddle.
"Guys stop it."I said shaking away the dirt from the bottom of my pants.
"You know they won't." A voice in my head said.
'The Voice' has been haunting me for almost 7 years. It started when I was 10. I thought it was just me speaking to myself but I soon realized it was not. The Voice nevertheless has helped me many cases. Like saving me from an accident, saving me from falling into a 40 feet pit, helping me to get done my home work but it has never helped me to cheat in exams, whenever I try of cheating I would fell a sharp pain in my head. Even after all these years I still don't know its name.
Whenever I ask it changes the subject.
We were a couple of teenagers enjoying our life. None of us were prepared for the disaster about to strike Earth!
