I'm going to say this right out: I didn't write this poem. On a crowded bus, some guy grabbed me by the shoulders and before I could react, started intoning these words, all the while looking through me like I wasn't there. Then the bus stopped. He pushed past me to the door, got out and walked the few feet into a McDonald's.

Because when a man walks into Burger King
a woman treat him like a king
But when another man walks in
Well
it don't do for two men to be fighting over one woman.
I had me a woman once.
She left me for another man.
That's why I go to McDonald's.
