Here's a collection of poems I wrote when I was in 2nd grade. Needless to say, they are very very bad. I've even included the original spelling mistakes (which are a lot. My spell check is going crazy) Oh gosh, this is embarrassing...

Bottom line is, when I was in 2nd grade, I thought I was quite the little poet.
I even showed my notebook of poems to my teacher! This is what she had to say:
Dear Megan,
Thank you for sharing your wonderful poems. I loved them all. I hope you remember me when you become a famous poet!
Love,
Mrs. My 2nd Grade Teacher
So sweet of her, huh?
Yeah… unfortunately, I think she might have been lying… a lot.
You'll see why.
I will also include my opinion of what I think of my poems now.
I honestly don't know how I was so stupid back then.
Well, here you go, poem number 1!
New Verse for Twinckle Twinckle Little Star
Twincle Twinckle little
star, little angles
in the sky
shining brightly
in the heaven
How I wish to
be with you.
Twinckle Twinckle
little angles
way up high
in the moonlight
sky.
What I Think Now:
Holy cow Megan. Twinckle. Seriously? TWINCKLE.
It pained me to type that up. Twinckle. Ouch.
And what's up with the 'little angles"? I know you mean angels, but even then...
I'm not sure whether or not I should continue this collection.
Oh, the humiliation...
