A/N Actually, i was going to leave this in a cliffhanger in 2 different places where it would be EPIC for a cliffhanger. But i didn't ;) I think you guys deserve a break of cliffhangers. Anyways...enjoy! And don't forget to review!

You know, if this is heaven, i think they over exaggerated about it just a little. Okay a lot. A lot a lot. Heaven looks a lot like a prison cell. I wonder what I did to deserve this...maybe it was that one time i ignored a bunch of crazy fangirls when my car broke down on the way to a Neon Trees concert. What? One of them stole my beanie! Not cool. Well, they ARE fangirls, and i love them, but still, that was my favourite one...

ANYWAYS...stuck in a prison cell. No way to get out (believe me, i tried). Slowly going insane (i know this because i started to sing Mary Had A Little Lamb with a really low tone). I wonder what they're going to do to me:electrocute me in an electric chair? Beat me senseless until i tell them our plan? Blackmail me? Threaten me? Whatever it is, it's going to be bad news.

At least they're decent enough to give me a nice cell, meaning i don't feel squished. I brushed my fingers absently through my golden hair, untangling the small knots that happened when i was tranquilized. At least it wasn't a real gun, or anything. But that raises the question of why they didn't want me dead. What am I to them. Why I'm valuable.

5 minutes passed...20 minutes passed...now it's been an hour. And it's not like I can whip out my Ipod and start listening to music or anything. They took it off me when i was unconscious. Along with my watch. And any other means of escaping out of here.

I gave the lock another try, jiggling it, but it's as secure as the Fort Knox. There just isn't a way out of here, unless I know the passcode, which i tried already. I used my finger to punch in some random numbers on the front of the cell, hopefully getting the right combo, but again I was wrong. I also tried putting my finger in the lock, but that didn't work either. The ceiling looked pretty concrete, and if i try to break it, it will only result in a broken hand. Same with the floor. I looked between the bars to the solid white room around me. The only thing in here was a desk, TV, and a chair, with a light tube on top. It was a fairly medium sized room, and i guessed it was used as a prison place for thieves and robbers.

I wondered what Raina and the rest of them were doing. Arthur and Clarissa were probably sneaking around the best they can. And i'm pretty sure being from a different planet, they had gifts that could get them out of this in a jiffy. Then, there was Raina and Jace. God, i hope they're okay. If they aren't captured, their only hope is to go destroy the automaton. Someone will let me out sooner or later, and I can escape somehow from there. I've watched and acted in enough movies and TV shows to know what to do. Problem is, my shoulder. The dart slammed into my shoulder, with so much force. It was sprained, and it hurt too much to move. I don't know how i'll get out of here with this, but i'll try.

The door in the opposite side opened. I looked over with interest to see the brother of Hawk enter with a smirk on his face. He didn't say anything as he pulled up the chair, and flicked on the TV.

"Hello there. It's such a pleasure to meet THE Ryan Carter. But unfortunately in these circumstances. You know, i've watched almost all of your movies, and i must say you are quite the prodigy in acting!" He said, completely avoiding the topic.

I glared at him, tightening my hands on the bars. "Who are you, and why am I here?"

He chuckled. "Ah, straight to the point it is then. I'm Lucian Hawk, Lucifer's younger brother. And you are here because you got caught breaking into the Hawk Manor. Just wait until the press gets a load of this! Oh, and don't worry about your friends." He saw my surprised expression. "Yes, we know they're there, obviously. We'll catch them also soon enough. We will have quite the chat with that little girlfriend of yours, Dana, is it?"

I gritted my teeth. "Raina."

"Ah, that's right! Well-" I hear a muffled ringtone of Careless Whisper, played by Kenny G. "Whoops, better answer that." He unlocked his phone, the soothing saxophone music stopping. "Hello. Oh, yes. Is it ready? Great. I'll set it up. Okay, yeah. I'll tell him. Okay. Yeah. Bye." He touched the "end call" button, and looked over to me with a wide grin on his face.

"How do you want to see a trap unfold before your very eyes?"

-RAINA-

The door creaked open. Jace and I slowly shuffled in, aware of the suffocating air of silence that coated this room.

"There it is," Jace whispered, pointing towards a machine the size of a water dispenser. It was a sleek silver colour, with a blue LCD touchscreen on the top portion, and a panel of buttons on the bottom. There was a thin wire snaking around the machine to the nearest outlet. It looked so mysterious and creepy, i don't know what about it made it that way, but i just did not want to go any closer to the horrid machine.

"Well, how do we destroy it?"

"Did you happen to bring an axe with you by any chance?"

"Um,no."

Jace walked closer to the automaton, and glanced back at me. Then, he TOUCHED it. I stifled a gasp, my hands covering my mouth, eyes wide. "Are you crazy?" I hissed.

"No, just curious. It doesn't do anything, relax Raina."He then started to walk around, inspecting it.

"I will not relax until we get out of here. Come on, let's just find some weapon, destroy it, and get the heck out of here," I replied, scanning the empty room for a spare item. Jace and I walked around the room, looking for something. I peeked in the white cupboards near the corner, but the only thing in there were dust and spider webs, as if it was empty for a long time. I started to make my way back to the center of the room, where the creepy automaton was placed. Then suddenly, i tripped over something.

Alarms started to blare as I picked myself. "Crap," I cursed, looking at Jace apologetically. "I didn't notice the trip line there."

"We need to destroy this thing now and fast before those guards come. Are you strong?" He questioned, looking over his shoulder to where I was.

"I swim."

"Hopefully that's enough. Come over here, and bang on it. I'll try to find the switch to disable it or whatever." Jace crouched down, his light hair falling over his eyes. He pushed it away, squinting at the automaton.

I started to hit the thing as hard as I could, hurting my hand in the process, but i didn't care as long as the thing is gone. Not a dent. I slammed my fist in it. Nothing. Ouch. I tried my other hand, trying to do a freestyle slice into it.

"Ow Crap!" I cursed again, cradling my hands. Jace gave me the shush symbol, and before I could stop myself, behind his back i stuck my tongue out. I probably look like a moron, hitting an object like this. I need a band-aid. I continued to bang my fists on it, making a huge noise as I did it. I'm surprised the guards didn't come already.

Jace continued to frantically look for an off button or something, searching in the places where i wasn't hitting.

"Switch," I whispered, holding my other hand.

"Fine. See if you can find anything I missed." He started to hit the thing, then said something that would probably be considered a curse word in his planet. I scanned the automaton from top to bottom, when my locket started to glow. It started to levitate by itself, and I looked at it in amazement. Slowly, my locket started to draw itself and me to a specific place I hadn't seen before. It was a really small gold circle, the size of half of the nail on my pinkie.

"Yes," i whispered triumphantly. Thanks, locket, I said silently. I don't know why it drew me to that point, but it's got to mean something, right? Finally i'm getting somewhere.

Then, I heard the footsteps. It was faint at first, but steadily it grew.

Jace and I exchanged glances. "Crap," We both said at the same time.

"We have to continue. I found something. Go hide," I ordered, and Jace nodded and backed away.

Before he could go find a hiding place, he put his hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see a concerned expression on his face. "Are you sure?"

I nodded mutely. He took his hand off of my shoulder, nodded, and went to hide beneath the cupboards. The footsteps grew louder.

Back to business. I pressed the golden circle, and a small shaft on the side opened up. The strange thing was, (not so strange, actually) the Power Stone would fit the circle perfectly. As if entranced, the Power Stone slowly unhinged itself from the locket, and hovered its way to the shaft. I just sat there and watch it make its way there. I wonder what's going to happen. Will something bad come? What if this will stop destroy the automaton and stop the invasion? That's a possibility. It was the thundering footsteps just outside the doorstep that brought me out of my thoughts. And that's when I realized what was actually happening.

I grabbed the Power Stone at the last second, just as the door burst open.

I backed away slowly, clutching the faintly glowing Stone in my palm protectively. It weakly struggled against the tightening of my hands, but I refused to let go of it.

Jace and I glanced at each other for a split second, he looked pretty darn terrified, and i wouldn't blame him. The guards came first, but they shuffled out for someone else.

"Well well well, if it isn't Raina West, the daughter of the famous Estella West's daughter." It was Lucifer Hawk, walking casually as if he owned the place. Oh wait. He does.

I backed away, trying to narrow my eyes to look mean, but it wasn't working. I probably look like i'm having a spaz attack right about now.

He stood in front of me, a few feet away, regarding me carefully. "You're probably wondering why I said 'famous' Estella West, am I correct? She probably never told you. That's so like her."

"What are you talking about?" I asked, my voice coming out cold.

"Your dear grandmother is the leader-or president- of Jeilbrium. Your home planet." He explained, looking at my facial expressions trying to detect any emotions. I tried not to show any.

"So, what?"

He clearly looked surprised. I had a feeling he didn't feel like hiding it, though. "Oh, nothing. Just wanted to let you know."

"What do you want?"

He gave me a creepy pedophile-worthy grin. "The Power Stone, of course." Then he gave a side-ways glance at the automaton, and his expression brightened. That can't be good. "Oh, never mind then. It looks like you finished it up for me!"

"What do you mean?" I asked, not getting it.

"You probably let the Stone go near the shaft, am i right? Well, that activates it. Even if it doesn't latch on, it's enough."

My heart sunk, and dropped like a stone in my chest. It's ALL my fault. I could've stopped this from happening. Now it's too late. Wait, i could still stop this! With strength i didn't even know existed in me, I brought both fists above my head, ignoring the numbing pain in both of them, and slammed them hard into the automaton. Let's just say for pain, I used a VERY uncolourful word that I would never be caught dead in saying. This will hurt for weeks, but at least i broke the thing. There was a huge dent in it on the top, angling downwards.

When I looked back up to Hawk, his expression flickered for a second, and then went back to happy. "Oh, that won't help. The signal is already sent. You can break it all you want, nothing will help stopping it now!" He started to laugh, it wasn't an evil MUAHAHHAHAHA one, it sounded normal, but that just made it a thousand times creepier. "Thank you, Raina! You have saved me a great deal of trouble." Then his expression because mock sadness. "But unfortunately, i will have to keep you. You and that Ryan. Who, if you were wondering," he added, looking at my hopeful expression, "Is trapped also. Come along now, dear." Well, it's over. I freaking failedeverybody. After all we've been through. I can't believe myself! Hawk didn't need his minions to restrain me, I trailed behind him like a lost puppy. I didn't make eye contact with Jace as I passed his hiding place At least he can escape and tell the others where to go. And what happened.

I wonder what Ryan would think of me now. That i'm not worthy of his friendship, probably. He gave me a chance and i blew it. Ugh...I hate myself.

Hawk hummed happily in front of me. "Isn't today such a perfect day?"

ALSO, i don't own Neon Trees, or Kenny G, or Kenny G's sax song Careless Whisper, or anything! Just saying.
