When winter draws close,
All becomes one.
All things replenishing,
All repentance gone.

The trees becomes stripped, and browned and bare,
Embracing the festival,
Spring's yet to prepare.

The sky, at night, becomes crisp and clear.
Turning each thing to grey,
And letting the stars shine near.

The air becomes sharp and howls at glowing fireplaces,
Aiding the rain to change to snow,
And help what's beneath, brave to replace.

And the people (And the snowmen),
They skate and they sing.
They revel,
Over mugs of hot chocolate and listening to
Sleigh bells ring.
They laugh and rejoice,
In new woollen clothes,
At opening presents one by one,
By choice.
They play and they're joyful,
And all are children again.
By blitheness influenced by frosted fingers -
Hopeful.

This readies them,
For the year to be gone,
And reminds them of when,
All was one.
