Lemonade From a Packet
Author:
Lord Thyrowing PM
A sort of narrative about the irritating way life is presented to us-in the news and in sitcoms and from neighborhood gossip. It's almost as bad as life itself.

You claim you love all your friends and those sweats are your home
Laugh at total strangers when all your jogging is done
There are days that are hot and those pesky neighborhood crimes
Did you hear Jenny D in Apt. 3's selling drugs on the side?

With the weight of your world on your shoulders you stare
Lenin is taking shots whenever you jump on the next Red Scare
While the sun's in your eyes don't be surprised when it's gone
Hang on right quick, we got us some new witches to shun

Remember nice lil' Andy you used to see on the bus, well
He was caught making out with that punk who likes those singers that cuss
You know he always had his eyes on the guys but did you know
He may have had his eyes on you, and doesn't that just creep you out

The weather is normal, that means it's usually fucked up
Wouldn't you rather stay inside and read the latest smut
You can only be ashamed if someone else should see
All the less dissonance in the mind makes it easy

These meandering tales are the greatest joy you can find
Because your mark on the earth will be forgotten in no time
There's meaning in it all but it's all too much trouble
You might have to pop this limbo you call a bubble
