I know everything I said makes no sense
But you still understood everything
A wonderous display of magic
Not knowing how anything works
The stories about the first answer
How everyone called it crazy
Stories written across the sky
We needed to curve those cravings for self-destruction
Hunger pains made it hard to see clearly
Our tongues were like truth
Hard to swallow
How everyone gets drunk of blackholes
Remembering the moment
The universe exploded in my chest
And everything looked more real
When I wasn't sure I was awake
We all came from the same tree
Pulled up water with purpose
A forest not so easily taken with sparks
But still you held the twinkle in your eyes
And the silver threads that held us together
Listen:
The cosmos is within us
We are the stars
A way for the universe to know itself
If everyone would stop to rest
We could listen to our hearts
It would tell you everything you needed to hear
But no one speaks the same language my heart does
