Search for my Love

He`s sailing the sea

I`m here waiting

He promised we`d meet

It`s been three days

And sixty more

Since he promised me! Do ya hear? He swore

Something isn`t right

Maybe it`s the message I missed

He`d have sent it in a bottle

Sealed with a kiss

No, too cliché for him

You see he`s not a guesser

Straightforward, nothing on a whim

I figured he`d be waiting by the time I arrived

She tells the same story

Down on that shore

Of a young man missing

He`d be there soon she`s sure

Sometimes she just sits

Waiting for black sails

Sometimes she tries to assemble a search, because she knows he`s prevailed

Every sunrise to sunset she tells that story

She just won`t let him go

She`s ninety years old now

Her days well known

And one day a shout, "Well it`s about time you made it!"

She swore she saw him on the horizon

"He should know it`s not polite to keep a woman waiting!"

No one`s ever seen a greater smile

Then her, frail legs and soft sanded feet

Walked to meet her Love, in the middle of the sea
