"Release from Shanghai"
A place where it's warm, for you to rest your head
A place that is calm, to still the pounding in your heart
A place full of silence, to cease the hammering in your mind
A place filled with life, to keep your blood at a rush
A place with shoulders, willing to carry your burdens for you
A place for you, call it home
A reward for you, feel free to set it on a shelf
A gift for you, all the patience that you command
A smile for you, we're not all cold on the inside
A prayer for you, people are only human
A blanket for you, to give to others when they shiver
A place for you, call it home
A world for you, it's what you deserve
A world with people who know, they listen to your words
A world as the gift, a world as the reward
A place for you, call it home
A place where people love you
All the struggle that you need
All of this, if it keeps you here
A place for you, call it home
A place between the shoulder blades
For your lovely wings to go
