This will be a collection of poems surrounding the endless struggle of self image. I wish I could send a positive message to anyone who suffers from it as well, but it's a journey we have to make ourselves. Stay strong and make the journey. Please Review.
When I'm around you I feel beautiful.
I felt wanted, desired, so glad.
But since you left, I fear I feel in just one word, bad.
Pile on makeup to cover the flaws on my face.
Until the girl I used to be disappears without a trace.
Crop my hair (you liked it long)
To finally feel something.
But now I only feel the tears,
and the tears, they only sting.
Fingers pushed far down my throat choking over bits of "I can't stand the sight of me."
The girl you once called beautiful can only find the word ugly.
