In a shattered smirk
Where sadness rules
Among foolish fools
When words like a knife
Take the very reason of life
Behold the starless night!
Stand in the shadow of light!
Tonight the cold claws of death
Are soft as fine velvet
Lighter than silk
Soothing like mother's milk
As they reach out to me
I embrace the nothing
It comforts me
