The Light fades
Darkness enters me again
I lie on my bed
Waiting to fall asleep
And hoping it would never end
Again
The shadow takes hold
Firm grip
Iron claws
No escape
Not even in myself
The last light fades
Dark is the world
The end is all
My heart no more
Let it have me
Cannot fight
Someone like me
Was never of the day
The shadow fades
Light returns
I do not
Cry no more
Less is all that remains
I don't mind
Do not regret
The red shadow I cast
I bring the light of Darkness
The light in me
Sleep now
Sleep in peace
Dream a gentle dream
Dream
Till kingdom come
