Birthdays
It might just be,
another year.
Another lit candle,
on your cake.
Or even,
another wrinkle,
on your face.
But to others birthdays,
are a reminder,
a cause for celebration.
Celebration,
that you have,
survived another year of life.
Birthdays are a gift,
it means that you have,
matured a little,
from your past.
Another year of life,
is an accomplishment.
Death has not,
taken you away,
Taken for eternity.
Birthdays,
are a gift.
Happy Birthday.
Author's Note:
Dedicated to: Whoever's Birthday it is today :) ;)
it was my friend's little sister's birthday the day I wrote this... so naturally I thought about birthdays in general.
