Okay. I wrote a poetry series about suicide once.

Well it was originally about suicide.

It kind of veered off.

Anyway, there's like ten poems and they're all loosely connected

From some chick's point of view. Didn't name her.

I wish to wake to a life not my own

And sing a song with a hope not my own

And pretend that this life truly is my own

Even when it's not.

I'd like to pretend this life is my own

And live this life like it's my own

And make this life my own

In my heart.

Sometime, it becomes my own life

But simply in my head.

(And so, with that logic)

I wish to wake up from this life not my own

And live.
