Let us see just how far we have gone.
In a thousand years, the right will be the wrong.
Run through a thousand and one tears,
And I'll promise you, my dear:
Now is the time to right all our wrong!
As a thousand whispers
Crash down on my shoulders,
I hold the weight
Of a million boulders.
What is the way? What is the path?
What do I see? What should I see?
Where do I go? Where do I stay?
Where do I fall at the very end of the day?
Just which is the correct way?
Just what do I blame?
That's why I made this song.
But what else should I say?
I just wanted to get it out of the way.
I just wanted to let you know right now
That if you ever have trouble, just call me down.
If you're thinking about what's right or wrong,
Just whisper into my ear—and I'll say,
Fall now; fall right through the wrong.
Fall down; fall into the smog.
Fight your way and find what's right.
For hopefully you'll see
Just what it is that remains left:
A flash of eternal glee.
And now you know
What is right and wrong.
Give it another millennium.
