This is my first story. Criticize as much as you'd like, please. The first fifth has been uploaded. The following will come regularly.

Prologue: The young boy Ayden looked around him in confusion. "This funny feeling... Ah! Am I finally in my own story?" Ayden looked blankly at the wall, focusing on the words being typed. "I am! Mom! Dad! I got my own story! I got my own story!" He pranced out of his room and hastened down the stairs. He got to his seat at the dinner table and continued his announcement. "Dad! Dad! I got my own story! Can you hear the narrator?"

The boy's father briefly stopped eating his eggs to concentrate on my words. "You're right." A wide smile instantly grew on Ayden. "But don't think we'll let you leave home so you can explore the world. That might work for other protagonists but you're under my rule and you're not leaving."

"Aw, but that's no fun."

"Actually-" The quite and petite mother said "we're actually leaving today to help Gootenmire prepare for the Hidden Sun Festival, remember?"

"That's right. I almost forgot. Strange since we spent last night packing." A thought occurred to the father. "Wait a minute. Edna, what time is it?"

"It's... almost eleven."

"Eleven! Everyone, get changed and let's go! You know how much I hate being late." So a minor frenzy happened, with cloth and luggage thrown about.

Alright, now that I've fooled you and Ayden by making him seem like the protagonist, let's disturb our real main character, sleeping in the room next to his younger brother, Vig Voidson.

Vig Voidson yawns, rubs his eyes, and gets up. He lethargically gets up from his bed. "Ugh, what's with this voice talking about me? Can't I get up without voices watching me?" he said, while his family boarded onto the van outside. "They're what now?" Vig's mind quickly considered the reasons why and remembered his family about sleeping over to his uncle for a few days.

Vig jumps onto the ground and runs to get changed quick. He hears the van start its engine. He runs to the door yelling "Wait!" repeatedly. He makes it out and- "They left without me..." Vig said looking at the vehicle move away from him.

He continues standing until he breaks the silence. "Are you still here, talking voice?" Vig said. "Don't you have anything better to do than talk about me?" He continued, clearly failing to realize I am a narrator. "A narrator, huh? So am I the main character or something?" Vig asked to no one in particular. "What? I'm asking you!" he yelled to the sky. "Alright, fine ignore me. I understand. I'm some kid and you're that creepy person who watches me." he said, finally catching on. After rolling his eyes, the young boy headed for the road and walked along. "Uncle Gootenmire's house is only two kilometers away. Or is it two miles? Whatever, I'm going there anyway."

Halfway through his walk, Vig speaks "So, since you're still here, you voice, I think I'm somebody important, right?" he said. "Right. Anyway, you won't mind if I talk a bit about myself and other stuff, would you? I feel like the reader might be a little confused," he waited a few moments for a response and continued. "Great. Alright reader, how are you?" Silence took place once more. "Thanks for that narrator. Anyway, I"m Vig Voidson. I can break the 4th Wall!" he cheerfully exclaimed. "My dad says it's because one of our ancestor got it as a gift and now me, my dad, and my brother have it. My mom doesn't have it because she isn't related to our ancestor. It's okay since there really isn't anything it can do. In fact, talking to you is the first time I'm using it. Dad says there's a way to break the 4th Wall even when no one is watching, but it hurts a lot if we're not used to it. Still, it's not that great. All I can see right now are the paragraphs I was in." Vig sighs and slightly pouts, realizing his ability is not as amazing his father had made it sound.

"Oh well. Let me just talk more. Right now, we're going to my uncle's house. My family and uncle live in Entropy Forest, which is most of West Vitcrea. Vitcrea isn't that big of a country. It's so small, we only have one city, but it's big. I like it, even if it's not big, because on the map, it looks like the hole in a doughnut. That's because Vitcrea is a circle and around it is Circuit Sea, and around that is North and South Vort and Focal." With that poor description of the local geography complete, Vig sees a large gate. "Hey, we're here!"

Excited, he immediately forgets about you and runs to his uncle's property, ending this prologue and starting the first chapter to his miserable life.
