A/N: Before I really dived into writing short stories, I tried my hand in poetry. It didn't work so well, so I gave it up after a few attempts. Those few attempts will be posted, once I edit them as best I can. This particular poem was inspired by a falling out I had with a friend back during my sophomore year of high school. No, we never reconciled.
DISCLAIMER: No disclaimers. Everything is mine!

::~*~::
Why did you go and do these things,
To make me feel this way?
Why didn't you ever stop and listen,
To all I had to say?
And now what's sad between us,
Is that we're slowly drifting apart.
You were such a good friend,
Right from the very start.
Someone once said,
A friend is a gift you give yourself,
So why did you go and
Make me feel as small as an elf?
You really were a good friend,
I want you to know now.
I want to save our friendship,
So help me. Tell me how?
