I watched them move in, hoping it would work out. It worked out really well actually, well it started off good but something terrible happened along the way, and brought more pain & sadness. Now all I can do is hope that maybe, just maybe my dad will listen to me. But how was I supposed to know that listening would cause more problems? I guess it's never really OK here.

It gets longer, trust me. This part is short, just a brief of what can be predicted to come.
It was dark and cold and late. Really late. But I couldn't help but stay up watching our new neighbors move in, hoping that maybe, just maybe it'd work out for our families. I was also hoping that there was someone within that family that was my age. As shy as I am I wanted another friend. I only have one friend who I've known for four years, her name is Nina, but who's to say I can't have another friend? I watched as the members of the family unloaded the moving truck taking things into their new home until my dad knocked on my door telling me to go to bed. Sighing, I closed the blinds on my window, and fell asleep to the soft, soothing voice of Secondhand Serenade.
