Beauty and the Beast

If we had roles this is how it would be.
Your story is bright
But i believe I'll ruin it all.
Like words on a page we'll never change
I just know I'll be your downfall.

You're a beauty,
I'm a beast.
I'm nothing but bitter
But your oh, so sweet.
The light in your eyes
shows that wonderful quality.

Why you stay by my side,
I'll never understand.
But as long as you're here
I'll always take your hand.

I'm falling deeper and deeper
so deep that I can't get out.
It's as if you ripped the pages from the book
and wrote what you wanted down.

You've changed my story,
made me sweet.
you cured the bitterness,
like this I'll always be.

My story was ruined
But you changed it all.
My beauty, my sweet
I swear I'll be there every time you fall.

My Island

I have an island,
it's all for me.
This not a blessing
but a curse,you see?
I've always leaned towards you,
I've always taken your side,
So why is it Papa
That I always see anger in your eyes?

You, like Momma, and everyone else
make me feel like I'm trapped.
on a deserted island.
All I have there,
on my isolation,
is pictures of the past locked away in my head.
I feel secluded,
like I am not needed.
Why can't you see this sorrow?

I feel like an unwelcome guest,
being forced to leave.
If I died today,
I wonder if you would miss me...
At times it seems as if you would,
but I still fear
That you will never see me as good.

On my island, I wish upon a star that one day
I'll see other lands not far.
Close enough to swim
Close enough to reach.
I hope that I'll find you there
Waving and smiling on its beach
I want to leave this constant solitude,
this constant fear.
All I wish, is for my Papa to stay near.
