Ocean Hurricane

January 16, 2013

.

It's already sinking on my lips,

but he won't admit.

.

There is a calling on the horizon

on the tips of the eyes of the sea.

There is a melting hand reaching

out from the ocean for me there is

broken and then there is quiet

bled in with blue faced lies.

.

My lover was a compulsive shit

who spoke until his breath ran dry

and he lied until the flesh was scraped

from shield-less, paper skin.

Then he buried me, fermented

at the bottom of the sea, glued

shut and blinded. Closed off and

white like sea foam. He kissed me

one-hundred nights wasted, he kissed me

good bye and stitched me up.

.

Watched the coral grow

a castle sprung up like heaven

from the gutted stomach of an ocean girl.

.

(The waves washed her being,

hide the sunken girl hide the

hurt in an ocean hurricane.)
