Chapter 1

Hikaru's POV

"Hey Ru do you want to come see the new dorm" my friend Akiyo asked me.

"No thanks Kiyo I'm going to check out the new recruits" I replied.

I should explain. My name is Hikaru Umizachi and my friends, little brother, and I are students at the Powers Academy for Superkids. Akiyo, his sister Angel, and I are juniors at the high school. My baby brother Luke is only three but luckily the academy has daycare service. Also every year new recruits have to face the initiation test in order to actually go to the school.

"K see yah later" Angel started walking in the direction of the new dorms with Akiyo.

I grab Luke and start walking to the main gym where the test as being held. The initiation test was used for secondary school to decide what classes a student had. As I arrived at the gym I noticed a crowd of sixth and ninth graders which was the beginning of the middle and high schools. Most years these are the main new students taking the test. I started zoning out as I was walking and managed to bump into someone.

"Whoops sorry" I say to the person. He was a tall and rather attractive male.

"It's entirely my fault" he replies and looks me in the eyes. I blush because this dude is insanely cute.

"Hi I'm Hikaru" I pick up my little brother "and this Luke."

"Name is Teru" he replies "I'm new here but I'm a junior."

"Cool" I say "I'm a junior too but I've been here a couple years."

"Maybe we'll have some of the same classes" Teru laughs a little bit. Dear gosh his laugh is so cute. "Well I got to go but maybe I'll see you around sometime." And with that he walks away leaving me dreamy eyed.

Snapping out of my daze I carry Luke to the seating area and we sit down. Besides myself there are many parents watching as well. Some are cheering on their kids while others are staying silent. The initiation test itself was that each kid had to fight an android trainer. I scan the room for Teru and find he is about to start. The fight between Teru and the android doesn't last long. Only like 2 minutes. Teru dodges a bit then nails the android with a sonic scream. I knew the power sonic scream. It was basically when you scream you produce sonic waves which can blast your opponent. Anyway the Teru's scream finished the robot in one hit. Wow that boy was tough and cute.

Third person

It's the dead of night. A tall boy walks through a dark corridor talking on his headpiece.

"Yes I've infiltrated the school" the boy says.

"good now we can take over the school and then the world!" a voice comes on the other end on the headpiece.

And with that lightning strikes making the power go out.
