Spin me into legends;

Make me something fantastic.

Take my excellent qualities

And forget to mention

All of the screw-ups I've made.

Make me sound perfect,

Awarding me numerous fans.

Sculpt me into museums:

Make me something historic.

Take my contributions to life

And overlook my flaws.

Make me a known figure,

Creating a spot for me in textbooks.

I want to be something beautiful.

I want to be made immortal.

I'm terrified of being overlooked;
