Chapter 3

Eclair Aturia, was her name.

After the name introductions finished, I entered the room. I was now seated on the soft looking sofa.

Across me, seating on the sofa also are, Eclair, and the woman with the revolver earlier, Kanae Shidou.

Kanae stopped pointing the revolver at me after the president ordered her to put her revolver down.

I'm truly grateful to the president. All my uneasiness settled.

However, the president still does not introduce himself. I was waiting for it, but he said "I'll save my introductions later." Seriously? What is that? Some kind of main event?

The two girls across me are still looking at me with those doubtful eyes. Why are they looking me like that? I suddenly feel that I did something wrong to them.

The vice prez is still not here for the drinks. She said that she will take care first of Ms. Klein.

And the room was so neat and clean. I can't help myself to look around because of those weird but fascinating things that I can see. Those small statues and antiques are beautiful to the eyes.

While I'm inspecting the room, the door opened. The one who entered the room is the girl with a flaxen hair. It was the vice prez. She was holding a tray with small cups on it.

"Here are the drinks."

"Oh, thank you."

"I forgot to ask you what drinks do you prefer but I prepared a tea. Is this alright?" The vice prez said in an apologetic voice.

"Yeah, its fine thanks."

"You are thanking me too much."

Whatever drinks you prepared to me it's alright as long it is a beautiful lady clad with a maid outfit!

Yeah! She is wearing a maid outfit! It suits her! And her hair is tied up. It really resembles a maid in an anime or some kind of fiction story!

"See, he's a pervert."

"Huh? How did you know that?"

"He is staring at the vice prez with lewd eyes."

"Eh? Your eyes are really accurate Kanae."

"Hey! I can hear you, you know!?"

Those two are talking about me. Eclair and Kanae! Have some manners to the person you've just met!

"Here president."

"Thank you."

After the vice president gave all the cups to the people here including me, she left the room.

A maid in a club huh? Not a bad idea.

The president took a sip and he viewed all the people in the room. He made a sigh and said.

"So you came here to join us huh, Mr. Fox."

"No, the truth is I came here to reject the confirmation. I really don't know how it ended up like this."

I was waiting for this. I can finally….

"So you're going to reject our kindness –"

The president opened a drawer below the desk and took a folder with some paper on it.

He opened the folder and read the contents of it.

"Cyril Fox, Age 17, No girlfriend, No interesting hobby, Avarage graded student, Number of guidance counseling 20 and so on. This is your chance Mr. Fox you can change the way you live now. We are the Questing Club so we can help you."

Hey! What's with the "No girlfriend" there!? Are the contents of that paper is all about my privacy!? How the hell did they know that?

"Wha-wha? How did you know that?" I asked with a surprised expression.

"There's nothing we don't know in this island Mr. Fox."

"Huh….!? What do you mean by that? Well, putting that aside! I will reject this club confirmation. I will not join this club!"

I don't know how they did they get those information. Be it a detective or spy I don't care anymore! My life is an open book now…. But at least I have to reject this!

"How I about I tell you that we need you on our group? And I prefer a straight to the point conversation so I brought this topic." The president's eye narrowed and he clasped his hands together in front of his face.

The voice of the president became strict. And the atmosphere of the room became serious.

Straight to the point huh? So all this club thing was…

"You need me? You need a guy like me?"

"Don't belittle yourself Mr. Fox you have a special ability. An ability that is very useful."

"You're saying that I have a special power like telekinesis or something? Is that what you mean?"

What kind of talk is this? Is this guy nuts?

I don't have a talent or ability within me.

"Yes, you can say it is like a teleportation. No, I can say it is teleportation. A unique kind of teleportation."

"I can teleport!? Hey don't joke around! I saw unbelievable things yesterday so you expect me to believe you!? I have still some sane points in me."

"I don't expect you to believe me. I expect you join us. Join our club and the [Black Stars]. If you join, I'll explain what is happening now in this city and why carnage joint appeared in front of you."

[Black Stars]? I think that was the group where Eclair belongs. Is he talking about me to join that group?

I think it is impossible! I can't fight with those monsters like carnage! I don't know if I can face them if one shows up.

But –

He will explain to me what is happening in this city? It's true that it bothers me what kind of city is this or should I say island. I can gain something if I join but… What about the ability?

"You will explain all? I don't know if I can trust you but first things first. How can I know if it's true that I have a special ability?"

"Hmmm…. Then to start, let me explain to you from the start what kind of special ability that you have."

I swallowed my saliva and wiped the sweat on my forehead.

As the president face relaxed a bit he started to explain.

"[Hand Shift] is the name of the ability that you have. Of course you inherited it from one of your parents. Your mother, I assume is the one who have this. This kind of special ability is transferred within your mother's family. The Seances family."

"My mother!? Wait! Wait! Wait! I don't know about this! How come that she does not say a thing about this!?"

"Well, I don't know about that I'm not your mother. If you want to know, ask her."

"Hey! Answer me properly."

"I answered properly you know?"

What is this some kind of philosophical act? This president sure knows how to make a person irritated fast.

And I don't know how to react! My mother has this kind of ability?

Questions are swirling in my head. I want to ask her about this!

"Leaving aside that mother topic, the one who possesses the [Hand Shift] ability can transfer anything to his/her hand that he/she touched and saw. To understand, I will site an example to you –"

The president pulled out a two coins from the drawer and then he placed it above the desk.

"There are two prerequisites before a person can use [Hand Shift] ability. One is, the person must touch or make a physical contact with the object that he wants to transfer to his hand. Second is, He must imagine perfectly the object the he touched within his head before he perform the ability."

On the presidents both hands there a two different coins. The coins look like they are antiques. They look old and the signs carved on the coins are unfamiliar to me.

"Mr. Fox please select one."

Without hesitation I choose the coin on his left hand

"Then what should I do with this?"

"Now that you touched it, engraved the appearance of the coin on your mind. You must perfectly imagine it."

I stared at the coin and memorize the coins appearance. The coins unfamiliar signs are difficult to imagine but I can do it!

I flipped the other side of the coin to see the also the appearance of the other side. Fortunately, it was the same as the one on the other side. I can memorize the appearance easily!

"Are you done!?"

"I'm tired of waiting! I'm excited!"

Kanae and Eclair appeared on both sides! They were staring at me with excitement on their faces. It was like they are waiting for something cool.

I don't want to be looked like that! I'm not a performer you know!?

"Stop that! I'm not doing this for your entertainment!"

""Ehh!? You're no fun! Just do it!""

They answered me in unison!

Seriously! These girls….

"Now are you finished? Give it to me after you imagined it perfectly."

I answered with a nod to the president and hand him over the coin.

"Now to start, please relax your hands and open it and slowly imagine the coin in your head."

I followed what the president said.

I closed my eyes and I imagined the coin that I touched earlier and open my hands a bit.

"With the feeling of wanting the coin on your hand, imagine it hardly."

With the feeling of wanting it? I don't know how to do it but…

At least I want the coin back to my hand!

HEARTBEAT!

There was a pulse on my mind. I barely felt it.

I opened my eyes and –

Slowly, the coin was appearing into my hand. Particles of faint light appeared as the coin was appearing.

"Wow!"

"That's awesome!"

"Eh!?"

The 3 people exclaimed on what they saw and one of those people is me of course, the others were Eclair and Kanae.

Small lights vanished and the coin appeared finally on my hand but –

It was not the coin that president gave me earlier.

It was a 50 yen coin!

"What!? What is a 50 yen coin doing on my hand!?"

"You thief!"

CLICK!

Kanae said as she pointed her revolver on my head!

I did not steal anything!

"Hey! Wait! I'm not a thief! President of this club please do something about this girl!"

"Shut up! I'm going to pull the trigger!"

"I said wait! Why are you not listening to what people say!?"

Kanae! What the hell! My life is in danger if the name of the girl that is near me is that!

"Kanae, stop I think I know how it ended up like this." The president signed kanae to stop.

"But Prez."

"Just stop it, he did not steal anything."

Kanae lowered her revolver and I sighed heavily. The feeling of anxiousness starts to convey on my heart when I saw kanae holding her revolver.

I felt relieved again and I was saved by the president again.

"I think it went wrong on the want of feeling phase."

"Huh? I just want the coin back to my hand it just it. I did not have any wants besides that."

Yeah that's my true feelings! That coin that I imagined!

"This is just my guess but did you spend something that is against your will by a 50 yen coin earlier?"

"Wait let me think…"

Did I spend some by a 50 yen coin?

…..

…

…

! That's it! That girl! Angela made me pay for 50 yen this morning because I was late in class!

It's true that it is against my will to pay for it. But how it does connect here?

"Yeah I spend a 50 yen coin this morning and it is against my will. No! Truly against my will!"

"Is that so, I see. So to explain it to you, the feeling of want is more important than the imagination. And the touching phase is most important thing."

I don't quite understand it but leaving that aside, it is fucking awesome that I teleported stuff that was far away from me to my hand.

"I don't know that I have this kind of ability." I looked at my hand with face of amazement.

Awesome indeed but quite frightening. I did not expect this to happen to me. All my life I thought I was normal person.

"Now that I explained to you what kind of ability do you have, can you join us? Not only the club but also the [Black Stars]."

Now what? Will I join them?

But I don't have anything to do in my life now. So I think it is the best to join them.

But still! It is really dangerous to be involved with them. I can lose my life easily.

There are good and bad points! What should I do?

"Ummm… Can I think of it while I join you for a moment? No, I mean, Can I be a temporary member until I made up my mind?"

I don't know how it came like that but that's how it ended up in my mind.

"Hmm… That's called indecisive Mr. Fox. You should be more conclusive when it comes to things like this. I think that's a reason why you still don't have a girlfriend until now."

Hey! Don't bring that up! This president loves to tease people by pointing their relationship status!

"Don't bring up that girlfriend topic now! I have 2 more years on my high school life so just wait! Jeez! I should not have gone here."

"So you do not have a girlfriend that means you are a virgin huh."

"Vi-virgin!? Are you not a virgin anymore kanae!?"

"Of course I'm a virgin but I don't want to be touched by an idiotic man like this." Kanae pointed me.

"WHO WOULD WANT TO TOUCH YOU!? AND I'M NOT AN IDIOT!"

You're more idiotic than I am!

Eclair and Kanae. What will happen to my stay here as a member if these two girls are involved?

On a second thought, I should have not proposed to be a temporary member.

"So that's settled, Mr. Fox will be a temporary member here until he makes up his mind. Eclair and Kanae show one of the good points of the club to him."

""Yes prez!"" Kanae and Eclair answered with great salute on their voice.

They really respect the president!

After they confirmed the request of the president, the two idiots left their seat which is my seat also and then they proceed in front of the desk.

"Uhhh… What are you planning to do?"

"Fanservice !"

"…Fanservice."

Eclair said it with an enthusiastic voice while kanae said it unwillingly.

And they said fan-service? Wha-wha-wha-what kind of fanservice is it!?

The only kind of fanservice that was running on my mind is that! Yes that! Only that!

And my hopes were granted by god!

Eclair and Kanae started to strip down their uniforms!

But I stopped them for a moment!

"What!? Stripping!? Hey wait! I know my expectation is right but is it alright with you!?"

Yeah my expectations are right but there is a little gentleman side in me.

"Prez's orders are absolute."

"Yeah absolute! Kanae's right!"

"President! Are you sure about this!?"

"Yeah, I'm sure. I've been waiting for this. Do as we planned Eclair and Kanae."

""Yes!""

Oi! Oi! Oi! Seriously!?

I don't know if this is a blessing from god or what! But this is truly one of the dreams that men cannot be achieved easily. I'm truly grateful for this!

Eclair and Kanae continued to strip down their clothes one by one.

The long sleeve polo has been removed! Their cleavages can be seen!

But what is that black suit that they are wearing underneath the polo? It's like a school swimsuit.

After the polo, the skirt is removed a two pair of slender legs can be seen! They are flawless!

"Do we really need to this? I hate stripping in front of others."

"Huh? What's wrong Kanae? We are always doing this for the president."

Wait! Is what I hear true? They are doing this for the president always?

"Then it can't be helped huh."

Kanae sighed as she said that and she pulled out a headband from her skirt pocket. It was a bunny ears!

I knew it! Those black suits like school swimsuits! They are bunny girl costumes! What a fantastic sight! I should engrave this on my mind!

Eclair also got a bunny ears and she put it on her head Kanae did the same also.

They look like real bunny girls!

Then I took a glance at the president to express my gratitude to him but me when I turned my head to look at him –

He was smiling to the extreme! A face of a pervert! What the!? Where's the president that was serious but calm earlier? Don't tell me that was an act?

I can't believe this! The respected president! What happened to you!?

"Umm… What was your name again? Uhhh… Cyril was it?"

"Y-y-yes, my name is Cyril nice to meet you bunny. No, I mean Eclair."

"Although we met a before I will still greet you as a member of the club. Nice to meet you too I'm Eclair Aturia. Hope we can get along. Pyon !"

P-p-p-p-p-p-p-pyon!? Is this real? I thought that cute mimicking sound of a rabbit can be seen only on anime only! But this is real! I thank reality for this!

"I'll introduce myself again to you, you insect. I'm Kanae Shidou. I don't want to do this again in front of a garbage like you so be grateful. PYON!"

Looks like this one bunny girl is a sadist! But as long as you wore that I'm willing to take your punishment! Hey wait! I'm not a masochist! And I hate that girl! This can't be happening! I got attracted to her for a second! No freakin way!

The two lined up in front of me while I was seating. What a sight!

The perverted president who had his perverted face shimmering intensely, gracefully waved his hand and he said.

"Kanae! Eclair! Time for the main event –"

BAGAN!

At the moment when the president is reaching climax of the bunny girl show, the door opened brutally. The one who entered the room is…..

"What!? Lu-lu-lucia!? I thought you are discussing something together with the person who has a request? You're fast!"

"I'm almost done with it but when I suddenly feel a perverted aura of a certain person….. Fu fu fu fu fu…. I never thought that you would do this again prez? What am I going to do with you~? Fu fu fu fu fu."

Scary! That was the perfect word to describe her! The vice president! A violet ominous aura is emitting from her and her eyes are completely blank. What is this!? Is this called yandere!?

The vice president named Lucia –

No! It's better to call her vice prez. I don't know what will happen to me if I say her name casually.

The vice prez with her face twitched a little, started to walk towards the direction of the president who has a very anxious face.

"Wa-wa-wait lucia! There's a reason behind this! Cyril – Gyaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Without giving a chance for the president to speak, vice prez grabbed his neck and lifted him upwards!

What strength! Is she really a woman!?

What a scary scene! It's like I'm watching a horror movie in live action! It is happening in front of me.

"Fu fu fu fu. I don't like these things and you know it. Why are you still doing it? ….Fu fu fu fu fu….. It seems like you want to end your life here."

"Gaaaaaa… gaa.."

The vice prez tightened her grip! And the president is about to pass out.

"Eclair! Kanae! Is it alright to leave them!? The president is going to get killed!"

"Leave them be, it is always happening when we do this."

"Yeah, lucy doesn't want things like this."

"Then why are you still doing it!? And wait! Who is lucy?"

"It's me!"

The one who spoke is the vice prez! You are lucy!?

Still grabbing the neck of the president with both hands, the vice prez is smiling towards me! It's creepy you know! Who would want to see that face while you are killing somebody?

"He-lp-me….."

"Eh? You can still talk? But I think I should let you slip this time because we have a special guest here."

The vice prez let go of the presidents neck after she said those words and the president fell down on the ground with a *thud* sound.

The vice prez faced towards me and with a warm and formal voice she said.

"I'm Lucia Asmodeus. The vice president of the club. Nice to meet you and I hope we can get along. And welcome to the questing club."

"I'm Cyril Fox. Nice to meet you too."

"I'm sorry for my rude actions earlier but I can't help it when this president of ours is doing something stupid please forgive us." The vice prez kicked once the president who is still on the ground coughing.

Now that's what you called rude! Hey someone stop her!

"Hey speak already. Introduce yourself; you are the president of the club right? Your punishment is not yet over. So get up already."

What a cold voice she has. I don't want to be treated like that! I pity you president!

"*cough* I know it already so stop kicking me. I'm not your toy you know?"

"Then what are you?" The vice prez glared like a devil at the president who is unsteadily standing.

"Ye-yes I'm your toy! So stop it already."

The president fixed his posture and went to his large desk.

"By the way Mr. Fox you can call me Lucy if you like. And do you mind if I call you Cyril?"

"No! I don't mind at all! Please call me whatever you like be it a dog or worm or something else!"

I was scared! I don't know what to answer! The words just escaped from my mouth!

Facing this really scary vice president is like facing the final boss from an rpg game without party or potions.

"Fu fu fu fu. You're funny underclassmen. But let me warn you Cyril I don't want naughty things in this clubroom. Do you understand?"

She said with a smile! But her voice doesn't match her facial expression. I feel like I was being threatened by a mafia!

"Yes! I understand very clearly!"

"Now Eclair and Kanae dress up now!"

""Ye-yes! Lucy!""

Seems like these two are also scared to Lucy. Well, I think if a person sees something like that in their whole life they will get scared for sure. No, more like a trauma. Luckily, I get used to these not too long ago.

Eclair and Kanae left the scene and they went somewhere to change their clothes. I think they went on the storage room.

"Ehem… Now it's my turn…"

I looked at the president who is on the desk. His face changed it became a face of a leader.

"I'm Homer Trohan! The president of the questing club! Mr. Cyril Fox I accept you as a temporary member limited only to this club."

"Limited only to this club? What do you mean by that?"

"Like I said earlier I'd like you to join two groups which are the questing club and the [Black Stars]. But you suggested only to be a member of this club. So once you decide if you want to be a permanent member I will also include you to on the [Black Stars]. So the information regarding the [Black Stars] can't be revealed to you unless you want to join us permanently."

"Then what about carnage who attacked me? And the [Juggernaut System]? I'd like to know about those!"

"Yes, I will give you details about it later. And you can say also that you are a pseudo member of the [Black Stars] because you got involved on the case regarding the [Juggernaut System]."

I see. A pseudo member huh. So when I decided to be permanent member of the club it means that I'm also a full-fledged member of the [Black Stars].

I don't want to get involved by that case but it seems like I was involved now. I got no choice but to follow the flow of the wind.

"I got it."

"You can call me prez like all the members do."

"What if I don't want to?"

"Then you can die in the hands of Lucia."

! I suddenly felt a dangerous stare but it was not directed at me! It was directed at the president!

Lucy is giving a warning by smiling with a meaning of killing also.

While still smiling lucy said.

"By the way prez, the request by Ms. Klein is waiting who is the one who will do the job?"

"Hmmm… Let's a have debut here. Cyril go take the quest!"

"WHAT!? ME!?"

"Yeah, you."

"Why me?"

"Who is the new member here HUH!? Don't ask that question get going already don't make the requester wait!"

"Cyril let's go. You have to meet the requester. Time is running." Lucy said as she starts to drag me along with her.

"Hey wait! I'm not mentally prepared yet! Let me do some preparations! Wait!"

As I was being dragged by Lucy. Within my sight, prez is waving his hand at me while smiling enthusiastically.

I never thought that I will join this club like this.

A unique club that grants request from other people with a payment to be discussed.

– The Questing Club.

And my first job as a temporary member of the questing club has been started!
