Feet pattered against the cold, hardwood floor.
The girl didn't know where she was running to; She was just running. Running as far, and as fast as she could.
She leapt over bushes, around and in-between trees, and she relished the feel of grass between her small, dirty feet.
Her eyes widened as she saw the mountains ahead; Snowy-capped, rocky-edged, climbing up, up, up into the sky. And she ran towards them, and she felt the wind in her hair, and she felt the Earth move beneath her.
And the stars watched on as the girl disappeared into absolute nothingness.
