The boy ran his hands slowly along the spine of each book on the shelf. He had arranged them perfectly; Each colour group in size order.

He breathed in shakily as he pulled the first volume from the shelf and thumbed the cover's corner affectionately.

Even though the boy didn't talk well, he had always had a fascination with written words. Whether it be poetry, or suspenseful, or action-packed, he always enjoyed the feel of paper on his fingertips, and loved knowing that he could write whatever his heart wished.

And turning to the first page, he began to read.
