The Fall!

With his beguiling tongue he led me astray!

"Did God really say…" he says!

His voice was so calm and soothing!

The fruit was so pleasing to my sight!

"You will be like God" he says!

I took the fruit and ate

Then to my husband I gave it and he ate!

Our eyes were opened!

The Lord was coming so we hid ourselves from him!

All because of that serpent with his beguiling tongue,

And in my choice to listen

Were we led astray!
