Mirror

All I am is a mirror

Reflecting everyone's expectations.

For my mother and father,

I am the perfect daughter.

The one who never drinks,

Or does drugs.

For my friends,

I am a good little Christian girl,

Who has no problems

And trusts God with everything.

For my teachers,

I am a straight a student

Who arrives early

And stays late.

For everyone else,

I am a listener

To cry to

Or rant to

Or whatever they need.

For me,

I am nothing.

I have shown what was wanted for so long,

I have forgotten

What I really look like.
