Shattered
Slammed doors, stomped feet
Muttered sarcasm meant to be unheard
Caught like thief stealing
Screaming and then shouting
As they battle out their opinions
Like strong-headed bulls
Broken, sharp pieces
Laying scattered near the wall
Much like shouted words
Try to mediate
To sooth and smother
Put in the middle
Soft cries in corner
Confusion on the close brink
Of insanity
They do not know why
Instead of laughter and love,
House filled with anger
Happy times gone now
Thrown in the wind like ashes
What did you do wrong?
I'm not wholly them
Kids with bleeding hands from pieces
But I care for them
