I caused that – Dante S. Aria

Blanks surround me

Shells tinted bronze and silver scatter the blood stains streets

The sickly smell of blood and gunpowder fills the air

Stench so thick I can taste it

I caused that

Silent fear falls upon the town as gunshots ring

Feelings of love and safety lost flee when the gun shoots

Dead bodies cursing me in my last moments

I caused that

Painful cries of mothers who lost their husband's or sons

Broken families

Repenting sinners

I caused that

The death of people

The death of my feelings

The death of my soul

I caused that

Only because of my duty of war

END
