Under The Tree

Under The Tree is based upon a group of friends that go about their daily lives. They hang out and chat amongst each other, chatting about their daily lives.

Setting: Summer's day, Rose and Ivan are sitting under the tree. Wind pushes their hair to one side as the cars goes past them. The sun glares down upon them both, as Rose reads and Ivan slumps against the tree.

Ivan: (sighs) Hey Rose?

Rose: (looks up from book) Yes?

Ivan: Have you ever wondered why the world is so big?

Rose: (raises brow) Umm…Not really no.

Ivan: (looks around) Do you even have an imagination, Rose?

Rose: (chuckles) I'm afraid not, Ivan.

Ivan: (stands and stretches) I'm bored…

Rose: (looks up) Why? You were the one who suggested this anyway, so why are you bored?

Ivan: (looks up at sky) I have no idea…

Rose: Then why don't you do something?

Ivan: (looks down at Rose confused) Do something? Like what?

Rose: (sighs and reads again) I don't know, a hobby maybe.

Ivan: (laughs nervously) Yeah…

Rose: Why so nervous?

Ivan: I…I'm not nervous!

Rose: (stares) Really? Or are you afraid to admit that you have no hobby, Ivan?

Ivan: (groans) Yes, okay! I don't have a hobby! I never had one anyway!

Rose: (stands) Then why don't you get one?

Ivan: (stares confused) I can't just 'get one', Rose. That's a hard thing to do!

Rose: (laughs) Then why don't we ask James or Willow?

Ivan: Why?

Rose: Well, there the closest. And Catherin is busy today…

Ivan: (sighs) Fine.
