Mirror

Cold as the winter rain

My core blended with the stain

Of darkness, so empty

I was left hollow.

The pain of fear

That clings to my desperate soul

The darkness beckons of a toll

I must pay.

It stands embraced

In a shroud of veiled hate

In silence it stands

Broken, as if held by bands

Its soulless empty eyes

Mine of drained hope

And its of lost meaning.

I walk away and the reflection breaks

It calls back and beckons to take.
