Short poem about rainy days.
A Rainy Day
The stormy sky begins to weep
The earth sodden in eternal sleep
A gardener's prize, a weatherman's bane
A once peaceful world alive with rain
.
No birds cry as thunder clashes
Fear strikes that heart as lightning lashes
The sky's fury flung upon the wood
Ancient trees brought to the wet mud
.
Yet the spring weaves roses on the dawn's loom
Once more the sky clears and flowers bloom
The dampened earth begins to dry
And angry skies no longer cry
