This girl she cries against the winds howling
Her feelings are left ignored
That boy hides the fact that there is a stabbing pain in his heart
His pain is left unnoticed
These children's faces are full of tear-stained marks
Yet no one bothers to relieve them of their troubles
These children are scared of what the worlds shown them
But no one cares to lend a helping hand
"Never trust anyone" is the motto these kids live by
Each abused and betrayed by others around them
Does no one in this world care about others who are not thyself?
Are people that selfish?
Their tears dry up and their hearts become stone
They lose the trust and hope that they once grasped so tightly in their small hands.
A heartless shell these kids become.
Yet no bothers to show them the brighter sides of things
So few are relieved of this oath
Yet so many are forced to walk down it
No one dares to even shed a tear.
Not even one whispers a word.
These children are like us not puppets nor toys.
They need affection.
They need hope.
They need others to depend on.
Others to lean upon
Others to trust.
All is shattered when we pile excuses upon excuses
When we don't even acknowledge the truth
We are all scared of being abandoned
So we use excuses to act this way
And these children are the ones who end up suffering
Because no one dare embrace that truth
These children cry to themselves at night.
Yet no one bother to lend a reassuring hand
No one trusts others fully not even thy partner
But why can't we put ourselves after another more in need then thyself?
