Standing ever so still
In times of desperation and war
Let's remain united
Hoping for a cure
When money's tight
And jobs are sparse
We're finally feeling
What others have always known
The need to be remembered
Searching for a light
That remains oh so obscured
In a devil's endure
We must remain united
Or be requited
In these times of desperation and war
Drinking cheap shots at some ol' bar
We're finally meeting our match
And it doesn't feel right
Our world's collapsing
For the first time
We're truly scared
If we can even manage to care
But remember I'll always be here
Hoping that I can be a hero
And knowing that I realized it first
Or at least acknowledged it
Times aren't gonna get better
We've sunken too far down
And it's the only direction we know
So remember
As the sky turns to gray
Smoke swirling in the early light
Sicily green water
Colliding into you
As we cough and splutter
Remember you were warned
This can't go on
