Silver Tongues
Sonnet 19
You think you can flip the world whenever
But you tell us all that you would never
Because never always means forever
You say that we're all in this together
Always lying, as if it's your birthright
You could because you can and so you do
Your silver tongue saves you from every fight
We're not gullible, if only you knew
We picked you, the lesser of two evils
We thought you would screw up the world less
So challenge us to a battle of wills
You don't know what you're doing, just confess
You're such a typical politician
Still fuelled by your misguided ambition
_,∙~* All But Faceless *~∙,_
My thoughts on politics, misinformed as they are, hope you like it
