Blind with True Colors

Hi. My name is Luka. I just woke up in a hospital room, and by the way, I'm a girl with a guy's name. The last thing that I remember was watching the front of a red Corvette crash into my dad's car. My dad was driving Daphne and me to school. I was walking around the hospital, and I saw a familiar face in a wheel chair. It was Daphne, my sister. I rushed over there as fast as I could, which seemed to be forever. I called her name, and she turned to look at me. When I got to where she was I started asking her questions. "Where's dad? Is he okay? How about you? Are you-" I was interrupted by her, "I'm fine." She said with tears assembling in her eyes. She was older than me by two years and was starting her first year in high school. My heart sank when she shook her head. My sister was the cool type who never cried, I knew something wasn't right. Tears were flowing down her cheeks now. "Dad left. The ambulance people told me that he was on top of us when the car crashed. They said that we weren't injured badly, but Dad was all scratched up," she said sniffing and rubbing her eyes. I fell down and looked at the floor. Time seemed to be in slow-motion. I could see every tear fall to the floor slowly and heard the big bang each tear made when it made contact with the floor. Tears were running nonstop. I couldn't stop them even if I tried really hard. Nurses from every direction came to pick me up, and they put me back into my bed. I was followed by my sister. I cried myself to sleep.
