Where Are You?
Everyone needs compassion, forgiveness, and mercy
And it be as sincere as a sweet chocolate Hershey
But sometimes people don't think about how lonely you could really be
So they leave you and flee
But I tell you for crying out loud I am not like that
I am not a sly, mischievous cat
I don't play your heart then leave you all alone
If I did I promise that was my clone
But you never believed me
You acted like you were blind and could not see
But as I rise from the ashes now
I hopefully wish you can see how
When you gave me that note of dread
The one that made me cry after it was read
That part of me is long gone
Like an outdated album or song
Your door is closed
And the smile on my face I will make sure isn't posed
But I admit I do still love you
It didn't leave me like a scaring sudden boo
Your girlfriend hates me and I could care less
Even though you love her the best
Or at least enough to push me away even though I was already nearing an edge
An edge to a cliff, not a hedge
You laughed as I fell
It rang like a bell
Where did the one I call brother go?
The one that loved me so?
Where are you?
