It all started the way usual cheesy supernatural love stories start. A new guy pops up in town and unfortunately I have to be the one who bumps into him. Twice. His arrival starts a whole chain of weird(er) things happening and I have no plan to be apart of them. A sudden 'natural' death, ominous warning and the witnessing of something horrible, and that plan goes out the window.

Hey guys! So this is my new story and will probably turn out like the last. Forgotten then deleted.
(Truly am sorry for that but even I had come to despise the characters.)
Anyway, yes this is a vampire story but I hope to make it that little bit different that the other cheesy messes that young people so seem to love. (Myself included :/) I would love it if you reviewed or followed or favourite this meagre beginning to a no-doubt silly story, as I literally live for them.
Anyway, thanks for clicking on this story and I hope you enjoy it.
Chapter One
"Hey Randy, you done yet?" A voice called out.
"Just a minute! Jeez, patience mean anything to you?" I shouted back. "Some people have jobs to do you know? Not everyone can afford to laze around like you."
"Touching speech but, nevertheless, all the seats will be filled out by the time you get your ass together."
I stuck my tongue out childishly and returned to the shelves, stacking each object methodically and correctly, carrying out a ritual I had done for three years and could probably manage with my eyes closed. Syara and Leah sat a few meters behind me, using up the customer chairs whilst Syara munched on crisps and Leah sat neatly, using as little space as possible. Syara, however, sprawled enormously, using up as much space as she could despite her slim figure. It was probably the legs. Those things could step over hurdles never mind jump them.
The last object, a box of morning-after pills, and climbed down my ladder. Unlike Syara, damn her, I had drawn the short straw in the matters of height. Literally. At twelve years old I had had my fleeting moment of fame wherein I had been taller than most, if not all, in my class. However, my body, deciding that that sudden burst of growth had knackered my entire "growth mechanism", never once grew again. Nope, I have remained somewhere around 5" ever since.
Anyway, packing away the ladder I grabbed my bag and jacket, hung up my apron and called out to Dan, telling him I was off. He gave me a brief wave before turning back to this months figures and I left pleased that it was him and not me. Numbers did not mix well with my mental wiring.
"Right oh, let's be off then." I said, shrugging on my jacket.
"Finally!" Syara groaned and hopped up.
"Oh shush. What are we even going to see anyway?"
"Midnight's Watch," piped up Leah. I groaned.
"What gives me the idea that is another one of your sappy supernatural love stories?"
"A part from the fact that it has the word 'Midnight' in the title? Oh and it's Leah choice of movie this week? I have no idea." Syara teased as we went out into the chill winter night.
"But this one is different!" Leah protested. "It's about this girl called Amelia and she falls for this human boy named Andrio-"
"Oh, their names both begin with 'A'. Must be serious." I said. Syara laughed.
"Guys!" Leah protested.
"Sorry, sorry, carry on."
"Well, it turns out that she is a vampire and it is forbidden for vampires and humans to be in love so they have to run away from both the Vampire Council and the Vampire Hunters but then there's an unexpected twist that could mean the end in Amelia and Andrio's love, but I won't tell you what it is. That you can find out for yourself."
"Get in." Syara cheered and punched the air, making us both laugh.
"Well as long as Andrio's something good to look at, it shouldn't be too bad." I said.
"I heard Amelia's played by Anne Johnson so I'm sorted." Syara stated as we rounded the corner to the cinema. Entering the brightly lit building, I was immediately assaulted by the scent of salted popcorn and sweets. My stomach growled reminding me that I hadn't eaten anything since lunch. Leah linked her arm with me as Syara went and bought tickets and we went to the food counter. Completely undecided on what we fancied we decided to splurge and bought a bunch of random things. Thankfully, old Joe didn't believe in bumping up prices to extortionate amounts so I didn't waste my whole pay-check in one go. Food bought and excitement rising, we made our way to the correct screen, my concentration solely focused on finding a place to stick my purse which was proving fruitless as my bag didn't want to accept any more. At that moment something solid slammed into my shoulder and I had barely time to gasp before I was falling. Thankfully that someone had supremely good reflexes and managed to grab my arm and pull me back up again before I landed embarrassingly on my butt.
And so it was that I found myself pressed up against something solid, warm and smelling of leather. Looking up, ready to begin my 'Watch It' rant I happened to look right into the very green, very pretty eyes of my attacker/saviour and all thought seemed to unfortunately dissipate, leaving me looking like an open-mouthed fool.
"Oi, watch where your walking would you?" Syara said angrily.
"Sorry sweetheart." The man said before winking and walking off.
"Rude bugger." Syara mumbled and Leah nodded her head in agreement. I however was too busy staring after the guy, my body still tingling a bit from where it had come into contact with his. He was tall and slim, with broad shoulders clad in a leather jacket and long legs that fit snugly into black jeans. From the back his hair looked like rosewood and curled in such a way that it looked sexily messy.
"Randy? You okay? Randy? Randellia?" I jumped at the sound of my full name and quickly shushed Leah. Few people in this small town knew it and I was content to leave it like that.
"Well you shouldn't have being staring off into space then, should you? Anyway who was that guy?"
"I don't know." Indeed, I had never seen that guy before and this town was not big enough to hide in. He must be a newcomer.
I stated my belief and Leah agreed.
"Well whoever he is we can research later, we've got a movie to watch." Syara reminded us and we continued walking.
"Why are you so interested all of a sudden?" I asked.
"I want food and I want my moneys worth."
"Ah."
"You guys can moan all you like but secretly I know you love this just about as much as I do." Leah smirked and walked ahead of us into the screen room leaving a grinning me and Syara to follow.
