Angel Jolie is an Ilustrado, a magical being with powers in all the elements and more. Her power is ancient and more powerful than all of the other powers put together. The only thing is she never learned to use e on and read, tell me what you are thinking by reviewing. Is a bit Young Adult (!) but after a few chapters, fantasy was a better choice (I Think)

Chapter Two

WHAT THE HELL WAS SHE talking about?

I swear if she's working for William, I'll kill her myself. I wouldn't wait for someone else to do it. I was so pissed at her. I couldn't just let this go. She let Jill die.

"Kira…what do you mean?" I asked.

"When they came—Williams guys—I protect Denis and not Jill. Denis tried to get to her but they stabbed her." She touched a spot on her chest. "Denis got slashed trying to help her but…" Her words dragged on as she turned away from me.

"Kira," I touched her shoulder. "You have to tell someone…what happened; you won't get in trouble if you tell—"

Her head whipped around so fast you would've thought she was a demon. "No Angel! I'm not telling anyone."

"Then I have too!" I told her, stepping away.

"No!"

Suddenly water shot at me. I dodged it moving fast to get out of its way.

"You're insane!" I yelled. "And I'm telling someone!"

She threw water at me again, this time I wasn't able to move out of the way and the water grabbed me. It pinned my wrists to the walls. I tried to fight it off but her magic was strong, a little stronger than I liked. I hated that she had such strong magic, I would have punched her in the face if I could have.

"You're insane, Kira!" I screamed again. It was true, I thought she was going a little crazy. "And I swear, the moment I get out of here I am so going to hurt you!"

"Maybe," she said, her voice scary, "maybe you'll tell someone what I did too. But if you did that I would have to kill you. I love Denis and I will do anything to protect him."

One of the random moments I heard thoughts hit me. And if she doesn't know that I'm not joking…well that's her lost.

That scared me, only a bit, but I kept going.

"I am going to kill you Kira!" I yelled my voice rang threw the room.

She made the water hold stronger to my wrists, I yelped, it was just water but it felt like it was cutting off my circulation. That was never a good thing, if she wanted to kill me or get rid of me why didn't she?

"You can't kill me as long as you're tied up."

I giggled. "So what? You're going to stay here and wait until Eddie—or a leader—comes to get me and sees you. Then takes you away because they think you're crazy?" I said. "Sure! Be my guest, keep me here. I would fucking love to see what they do to you, Kira."

She walked closer to me, she held down my legs so I could kick her in the stomach. Which I so wanted to do tonight.

"Angel," she said. "I know you won't tell, because you're my friend."

She released me—and left—and I fell to the ground. I rubbed my wrists they still hurt. I moved into the corner of the room and stayed there. I didn't move I stayed there hugging my knees and replaying her thought in my head. You're my friend. That wasn't true. Not at this moment. I couldn't be her friend, not after what she just did to me. I must've have been there for a long time because Eddie came up into my room. He opened the door and walked a few steps in not looking at me.

"Angel you know be—" He stopped when he saw me in the corner. "Oh my God! Are you okay? What's wrong?"

He knelt down in front of where I was in the corner. He grabbed my wrists and looked at the welts that were forming. His face got scared as he looked at them.

"Angel, what—?"

I grabbed his arms. "I'll tell you later."

"Angel did someone—?"

"I'll tell you later." I cried.

He heisted but agreed. He always been worried about me since he once saw me digging my nails into my skin to stop the pain that using mind brought me.

"Angel," he said. "Will you actually tell me what happened?"

I nodded. "You're my best friend, Eddie. Of course I'll tell you."

"Why don't you tell me now, then?"

"I-I just can't."

I think Eddie knew that I would tell him. He just really, really wanted to know. He grabbed my bags off the bed and went downstairs. The welts on my arms were basically gone by now. But the shock of what happened still stayed with me. I put on a happy-Angel-Joile face and walked up to the leaders.

"Y'all," I smiled.

"Hillbilly," Josh laughed.

"Fire truck, you."

"Huh?" They all asked me.

"I get in shit for swearing so much so I use replacement words in front of you all."

Josh laughed. "Good idea…wonder how long it will last."

I shook my head and laughed. The leaders that were going with us (Josh and Scarlett) had their bags in hand. As did Kira, she stared at me. I just smiled and looked away. I looked up at Eddie and then back to the leaders.

"So, are we going or are we going to wait 'til William comes and kills Vanessa?" I asked.

"Never seen you so happy," Josh said.

"If it means I don't have to do paper work I am happy."

He laughed and turned around—same as the others. As he walked he spoke over his shoulder. "There will be lots of paper work for you, Angel."

My eyes widened and I stared at Eddie. "Are you serious?" He didn't answer. I chased after him. "Wait, are you being serious."

He better not have been serious. I was totally not doing the piles and piles of paper work that he usually gave us. I would rather protect Vanessa 24/7 then to do all the fire trucking paper work.

We got onto the plane and I sat next to Eddie. I was tried and awake at the same time—if that is even possible. When the plane finally took off Scarlett sat down in front of Eddie and I and Josh sat next to Kira.

Jeez, Kira…I didn't know what to do. I didn't really want to die. I mean who would actually want to die? I laughed in my head. Should I tell someone? Should I not? Why if I did, what would happen to me?

I shook off the thoughts and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. I took out a brush from my purse and tried to brush out the hair spray out of my hair. That took me about ten minutes to do, when I was done I took out a mirror from my purse and tried to make my hair look like normal again. I hated when my hair when from straight and sticking up to just normal straight hair. When I couldn't get it to go to my normal hair I just braided it into a new braid that hung down my back. I threw the stuff back into my purse and looked at Eddie.

"You know you are still beautiful even when you look like shit." He smiled.

"Thank you," I said sarcastically. "That makes me feel better."

That's why I loved Eddie. He was awesome, he knew how to make me feel good and how to make me laugh at the same time.

Eddie and I talked for a good half hour. Eddie and his stupid sayings made me laugh for at least twenty of those thirty minutes. There were a lot of shut up's going around with us when we were talking. Finally we got onto the lodge. Neither of us had been there before. We both had been to a lodge somewhere in Siberia.

"Do you think it will be nicer than the one in Russia?" Eddie asked. Saying what I was thinking.

"Jeez, I hope so! That place was a fucking dump man."

"It wasn't that bad, Angel. It was worse than most places we've been to but I wouldn't call it a dump." Scarlett turned around and smiled at us.

"Correction I said 'f-ing dump.'"

"Have you been listening to us the whole time?" Eddie asked.

She nodded.

"Does, the lodge have like a website or a paper we can look at?"

"Um, yeah, it's protected by codes so humans can't get onto it."

Codes? That seemed too hard for me to figure out. Actually I knew that I most likely won't be able to figure out how to do this code thingy.

"What are we the FBI?" I asked.

"Or the CIA," Eddie added.

"Would you rather be found out by humans? What would you like? The codes or humans finding out about us?" she asked.

"What I would like is the website and a bottle of water." She looked at me. "Please."

I got up and grabbed a bottle of water. I opened the cap and drank about half the water. I went and sat back down next to Eddie. He had his laptop out and was on the lodge's website. He was looking at a picture of the lodge.

"Holy shit!" I said when I saw the picture. "That's a—pardon my French—fucking castle. Not a lodge!"

"Who," Eddie started, slowly, "has enough money to stay here?"

Scarlett turned around once again. She gave her usual smile before talking then started. She told us that the lodge isn't just for rich Ilustrado, there were rooms that were actually pretty cheap. The place just has nicer rooms for the richer Ilustrados. I laughed at her and asked if we were getting the cheap rooms. She shot me a look and continued. When she was done she told me that Vanessa was paying for the rooms, so whatever ones she picked was what we were getting. I guessed that was basically how she was going to pay us.

Eddie and I went back to looking at the page. This place had six floors—seven if you count a basement. There was a gym on the main floor, a pool in the basement. And from the pictures that were shown this pool was big. It had a few restaurants in it that seemed nice and then the whole lodge was covered by trees and mountains poked out in the horizon.

About ten minutes into looking at the website I fell asleep on Eddie's shoulder. A dream formed, I was in a room. It sort of looked like a hotel room—but nicer. It was huge; the walls were painted a cream color and had a red trim, it was really pretty too—and reminded me that I needed to repaint my room back home. The floor in the main room was made out of wood—it seemed like oak—there were two huge glass doors that went outside. I walked a few steps. There were three doors, one of the left side of the room and the other two on the right. There was a kitchen in the upper left corner of the room. It had black marble counters and black stove and fridge. Over doing the black? I thought. I loved black but I think if you have to much in one place it looks bad.

Two people showed up in the dream. The guy was sitting on the couch and the girl was sitting in a chair across from it. They were starting deeply into each other's eyes. I felt like I'd seen them before. Maybe I did I just couldn't remember right now.

"Not a good idea." The guy said. He got up and went over to the fridge pulling out a beer.

"It is not your choice. Can you get that through your tiny little mind?" the girl replied, irritated.

"Why would you call 'em? I can protect you!" He said between sips of his beer.

"No!" the girl screamed. "I don't want to risk your life for mine. Your's is way more important."

I walked over to the two of them. I knelt down beside the guy. I waved my hand in front of him. He didn't move he just kept talking to the girl. What the hell was going on? This was a dream right? I didn't die on the plane and go to the first place I saw did I?

The girl got up and walked towards the door. She set her hand on the knob and looked back at the guy. He had gotten up and was closer to her now. He grabbed her hand and pulled her back. He wasn't trying to hurt her just keep her in the room. In doing so he almost spilt his beer on the floor.

"Please! Please don't do this. I am strong, I wouldn't be kill like her."

"Her? Who the hell is 'her?' Can anyone even hear me? Hello!" I said. I hated dreaming.

"They are already coming."

"Who?" he asked.

"Some protectors. Josh, Scarlett, Eddie and some other person."

He stared at her. "Who…else?"

"I don't know. Just get some sleep, I will be fine."

The girl left the room. The guy stood there for a second, set his beer down and then chased after her. He slammed the door behind him. That broke the dream. I woke and Eddie was looking over at me.

"Are you okay?"

I blinked. What had just happened? That dream—those people—were so real. "I-I think so, I'll be fine. It was just a dream."

But I wasn't so sure about that. The dream felt way to real to be just a dream. I kept replaying the dream back in my head. The girl had named off three of us. I felt like I had seen both of them before. Was it more than a dream? All of those thoughts drifted away when I got to sleep again. I didn't have another dream—or whatever you want to call it. I slept until we got to the lodge. The one thing that was the same as last time was that Eddie was the one to wake me up again.

"What? Are we here?"

"Yes, they are waiting for us." He replied.

I grabbed my bags. Before I could even take one step Eddie took my bags and ran out of the plane. I threw my hands up in the air in annoyance. I shook my head and chased after him. I ran out of the plane and Eddie was standing with the others.

"Eddie stole my stuff." I told Josh, deadpan.

"Great, now he can carry it."

"Wait—what?" Eddie looked at Josh.

"Don't steal her stuff next time." Josh smiled at me then laughed at Eddie.

Vanessa laughed. I didn't even notice that she was with us. Vanessa was awesome. Eddie and I had been on a quest with her once before. We both liked her. She could make us laugh at times when everyone was mad. If Vanessa had naturally tanned skin like I did I think people might think we were sisters or something. She had big dark brown eyes—like me—and lighter brown hair. Her face was in the shape of a perfect heart.

"Did you guys want a tour? Just in case you sleep walk you won't end up somewhere were you should be." She finally asked us when she caught her breath.

"Love one," Josh said. "Thank you, Vanessa."

Vanessa showed us around. She walked around and told us a bunch of new stuff about the lodge. I didn't really pay attention. I was way to tried to be walking around the lodge getting a tour…I just wanted to go back to sleep. It was around four and not many people were up right now. The only light in the lodge was the dim lights that lined the hallways.

As we walked around the corner I was pulled aside and pinned against the wall, by a guy—who was very handsome. The guy had beautiful blonde hair and bright blue eyes that shined even in the dim light of the lodge.

"You…" he said like he wanted to say more but couldn't.

"Hi," I said not knowing what else to say, and frankly scared out of my mind.

"You're…not…Vanessa." He said, confused.

"No, I'm not. Can I help you?"

Was he looking for Vanessa? A boyfriend maybe? He looked like Vanessa's type—or so I guessed.

He didn't answer at first. "No, I'm fine." He said shaking his head. "Uh, nice to meet you."

"Yeah, you too…"

With that he ran down the hallway. I watched him. He seemed like he might have been a little on the crazy side. I just shook it off and went to find the others. As I did I heard movement behind me. I turned around and punched the guy. He fell down and I released it was Eddie. His messy black hair was what gave him away.

I went over to him and tried not to laugh. "Oh my God!" I screamed. "Jesus Christ! Are you okay?

"You punched me in a fricking nose!" He yelled back.

"So…no you aren't okay? Oh, and I am sorry about that."

He wiped the blood off from under his nose. "Then why are you laughing? Did you break my nose?"

I moved my hair to the side to try and hide my face, maybe he wouldn't see me laughing if my hair covered half my face.

"You know me." I told him. "I laugh when you get hurt…most of the time. You know what I am." I laughed form the 'you know what I am' part.

"Yeah, bad-ass, smart-ass, dumb-ass, and my friend," he said.

"Glad to know. I am glad one of them didn't have ass in it."

"The first and last ones were nice."

"And the ones in the middle?"

He shrugged he went to answer but another voice talked over him. "There you two—what did you do?" Josh asked me.

"Why do you think it was me?" He stared at me. "I punched Eddie in the face."

"Why?"

"I didn't know it was him." I smiled and turned back to Eddie. "I am so sorry."

He smacked my face. "Shh! No, shut up." He cut off my protests. I rolled my eyes. "Just help me up."

I did. I pulled Eddie to his feet when he was on his feet he punched me in my shoulder.

"Ouch?"

"It didn't hurt."

"Nope."

"Hey, you guys just disappeared on—you use mind?" Vanessa asked me.

I touched the tattoo and just looked back at her. "Huh? Oh, no, I can't…at moments I can but I use earth. Why?"

She shook her head. "No reason. Plus your tattoo is the mind one. Most people don't have it. It's pretty, Angel."

Why did she ask me why I used mind? Wasn't the tattoo a big give away to that? OH wait she said that… I shook it off and we started to walk again. I kept looking over my shoulder; I wanted to know if that guy was close. Vanessa started up to the fifth floor, she showed us our rooms.

"How did you want to do this?" Vanessa asked.

"I will stay with Kira, and Eddie and Angel can stay together. You told me you had someone watching over you?"

"Yes, Josh. I have one of the Hall's protecting me…basically he told me that he will take me away if he can't protect me."

"That sounds like Drake Hall."

"It is. But I call him a pain in the ass."

"Great." Josh rolled his eyes. "If this quest takes more than a year I know one Hall that won't be killed by William."

Vanessa and Scarlett laughed.

"You are kidding, right Josh?" I asked.

"We will find out," he smiled.

All of us went to our rooms after wards. Eddie threw my bags onto the bed when he walked in. The minute I stepped into the room I knew we had gotten one of the "cheap" rooms. There were two beds a side table and two dressers. There was a tiny bathroom near the entrance of the room. Maybe it wasn't a very cheap room; I mean it looked nice and stuff…but I knew it wasn't one of the super, super expensive rooms.

I started to unpack all of my shit. I threw it all into one of the dressers, and then put my hair and makeup in the bathroom. I put it on the left side of the counter, Eddie could have the right. I was basically asleep by the time everything was put away. I knew most of us wouldn't be but 'til at the least twelve tomorrow. At least I knew I wouldn't be up 'til then—hopefully.

Knowing that I most likely would not have enough time to have a shower ect, in the morning. I turned on the shower/tub and waited for the water to heat up. I grabbed my hair stuff and set it on the side of the shower/tub. I grabbed a towel from the side and jumped into the shower. The warm water felt good compared to the cool November air. I got out of the shower and started to dry and brush my hair threw. All of the fricking hair spray was out of my hair and my hair went back to the normal straightness it usually had. Finally. At least now I knew not to use Hair spray—or that much—anymore. Maybe there was a type of hair spray that would take so much to keep my hair down.

I grabbed my pajamas and put them on. I had long pants that were warm and fuzzy, then a long blue shirt. I put my stuff back neatly and grabbed my clothes. I threw them into the dresser. By the time I was finished and I wiped the counter down and brushed my teeth, Eddie was already fast asleep. I tried to be quiet so I didn't wake Eddie up.

I threw the six pillows off of the bed and pulled the covers off the bed.

"Angel?" Eddie asked.

"What?" I said, quietly.

"Next time you have an shower please do it in the morning when I am awake…that way I could sleep!"

"Oops, sorry, Eddie."

"Whatever…"
