A Poem
A poem is many things, it is a dream faraway.
A poem is lyrical or flat, and tuneless.
A poem is rhymed or free-versed.
Despair or joy, it is quite mood affecting.
An entertaining or maybe this kind, it's bland and boring,
but informative.
Poem has many children, who prosper, flourish.
They sing many a song, announcing the job of their parent.
They are diverse and accepted, used all over.,
All uniquely named with care. They are all different, yet all the same.
Their goal is one in the same. To provide. To teach.
There are many types, many offsrping of the poem.
A limmerick, the silly one, always playing tricks. Youngest.
The tanka spouts lessons and truths, eldest.
Haiku stands tall, resolute, and honorable, the second eldest,
he looks up to his brother, tanka.
Sonnet is dreamy, lovely and bubbly. She sings melodies, and
dreams all day, A perfect model of her brothers, a female.
They live happily with their loving parent poem, but sometimes
they willingly visit their fun loving uncle, Fiction.
They don't really like Aunt Non-Fiction, what a shrew!
No wonder her third husband left in the middle of the honeymoon!
She is sour and cynical, and dull. She gives the worst gifts.
Through out their different tastes, they all agree, they dislike their aunt!
Basically, she sucks!
