Buried in the darkness
Sunk in the earth
Six feet between you and the light
Fading like a lost dream
Slowly disappearing, eaten alive
By regrets and guilt
That you can never make right
Surrounded by the walls of an ivory casket
Heart beaten by life
Knowing when to give up
Forever trapped
With your memories as your only company
The darkness seeping into your soul
Poisoning you, morphing you
Fading, ever so slowly fading
Just barely holding onto reality
Author's Note: Hey guys! This poem is what I would feel like being buried alive. Morbid topic, but one we must all admit we have thought of. I wrote this during math class, just in case you're curious.
